PROS: Easy to obtain tee times. Not very crowded. Great clubhouse and restaurant Staff. A fairly difficult course, with several challenging holes. Condition of fairways pretty good.

CONS: Most greens and tee boxes not in very good shape. Bunkers hold water.

Overall: worth playing if you're not paying full price, i.e., afternoon and twilight tee times. Currently, not worth the prime time fee of $59.95. There are other courses within the local area, with similar or lower green fees that are in better shape.

They are taking care of the course really well. The new sand traps have settled in and the fairways are in good shape. The greens hold well and are pretty fast. Well worth playing. Great staff. A tee time is needed for holidays and weekends.

New ownership of the Twin Rivers Golf Course by the City of Oviedo has breathed new life into an exceptionally well thought out course which boasts a championship layout.

Down To Earth, which has an excellent reputation for successfully operating and maintaining golf course properties in The Villages and other areas, has professionally rebuilt all the bunkers, provided the proper drainage needed to both the bunkers and the course, reseeded, resodded, and repaired the greens, and added additional irrigation. New carts were added as well as golf bikes!

Needless to say, the course has improved dramatically over the past year. Tee times are managed well, and check in is a breeze.

There are several challenging holes with ample water hazards, bunkers, and large live oaks to keep you on your toes. The natural feel of Florida surrounds you. It's truly an enjoyable experience.

The clubhouse has a variety of traditional fare, and the staff was great and accommodating.

I don't play there very often; but recently when I have, I have not been impressed with the conditions (mostly the greens). The greens have not been smooth and true in my opinion. The layout just isn't that enjoyable to me; but that is partly my fault as I don't hit my driver straight and long enough on the holes where it is needed, There are several holes where hitting a hybrid or an iron is certainly the better play...

If you visit the Twin Rivers golf course do not expect to be able to use the greens as they are filled with weeds mud and sand.
The main problem with the course was that even after 3 weeks of treatment to the greens they were still in extremely poor condition. This has also been noted by a fellow golf 4 months ago on Google +.
The course was generally poor and un kept we will not be going back.
Use golfnow to get a cheaper deal if you want to play here, as it is 35 dollars a round if not and this course is not of that quality.

Course needs some TLC.

I am new at golf so it was fine for me. Rate was great and it included lunch which was very good. It was around 35 $ per. However my customer was frustrated and he was a regular golfer and very good. The greens were horrible. Sand and brown turf everywhere. While we were golfing they were putting flags out for soccer golf. It is my opinion that this secondary sport they allow is the reason the greens are so bad. Three flags for every hole. Hard to tell what your shooting for. One of the holes the golf hole was inside an old soccer hole. Its was just weird. Like I said I was comfortable there because I could learn and not feel bad about my speed. But if youre a serious golfer you may want to go elsewhere.

As a lady golfer I found this course to be a value and a challenge. There are some narrow holes and lots of water but only one hole where you have to hit over it. Lots of birds everywhere. Staff is very friendly. Try the hamburger if you stay for lunch.

Awful. Range is usually closed due to rain. Whole course is soggy and full of mosquitoes. Why build a golf course that is low? Service was decent.

Played this course with our group this week and we enjoyed the layout and the conditions. We play three times a week and this course is in the best condition for the time of year here in central Florida. Much work has been done to improve the drainage, it rains hard almost every day, and the course drains nicely these days. If you favor risk reward dog legs, this is your course; there are two straight par fours and no straight par fives on the entire course. This course is a real sleeper and the price is right. Don't forget the lunch special for $5, you can't go wrong.

A great evening out for a burger or the salmon burger. We always sit on the patio because the dining room is so noisy and very crowded. And, for 2.75 and fries for another 2.50, what a deal. (every other Friday)
