Ted Porter Park is a slice of Intracoastal Waterway Heaven for Ormond Beach locals. The reflection of the sunset on the water is a scene reminiscent of Monet.

Mini Park is a Good Name !

Not much to see here. It is mostly for the neighborhood to enjoy. It is a nice quiet place to sit and watch the river flow by. We bumped into this park (mini) as we were driving by. If it weren't for the sign, you would never know it was there. Seems to be well taken care of though.

Who is Ted Porter?
Dec 2015 • Solo
A small community park with one bench at waters edge. Located on John Anderson Drive in Ormond Beach. The park offers a quiet place on the shore of the Halifax to just relax, or do some fishing. There are no facilities at this park and parking is in the grass at a busy intersection. No point stopping here when Fortunato is just a couple blocks south.

Ted Porter Mini Park,
1044 John Anderson Drive, Ormond Beach, FL 32174
Hours: Sunrise to Sunset. Small lawn area for local residents. Park has a bench overlooking Halifax River. There is no place to park. A boat launch is now blocked. Originally known as Halifax Park. A plaque attached to a ‘rock’ explains Ted Porter’s (Zone Commissioner) role in preserving land for future generations. Rating: Poor. Rating should be “Fair” but that is not a choice. Nice this area exists for the neighborhood.
