Ormond Beach is a nice family beach. The area hasn't been overly commercialized and the beach was nice and clean.

We always visited Daytona Beach, but hardly ever ventured north of the tourist area. I wish we had! Ormond Beach, just a few miles north of the Boardwalk and main beach area, is a hidden treasure. Plenty of parks with beach access, excellent restaurants that break from the typical chain offerings, and even a beautiful art museum and nature garden.... More

We like to stay on this beach and visit Daytona area to eat and shop. We were there in early June and the waves were pretty calm.

Ormond Beach is the northern extension of Daytona Beach. It offers the same amazing sand, surf and weather, without as much traffic and congestion. We really loved it as a family, and would head back in a heartbeat.

We stayed right at the part of the beach at which the parking on the beach 'starts' and Ends' to the left of our resort there is no beach parking, but right in front of it there is- I find it disconcerting for cars to be driving and parking on the beach and you certainly have to watch the kids.... A lovely beach with low traffic during early June! Plenty of attractions and restaurants near by. Check out the lighthouse!

Lovely beach. This one is like Daytona but a little quieter and not as commercial. We love the calmness of the ocean here so much nicer than beaches in South Florida where the water is so ruff. We enjoy going to the beach here.

Great beach, drive-on sand, nice parks and some good lifeguard and beach patrol for family safety. Ormond is a grownup version of Daytona, with far less of the baggage (crime, vagrancy) you see in Daytona.

The most cleanest beach I had ever seen ! The whitest finest sand I had ever felt between my toes, not a spec of garbage nor cigarette butts , fish gutts to be seen anywhere on this beach ! This beach is well maintained and cared for ! I can't wait to go back ! This is by far my... More
