This is a nice film, if dated. It's not fancy, but it shows some lovely scenery and introduces you to different parts of France. It would benefit from updating, but it's a pleasant experience. It's also a great way to sit down and cool off and have some quiet time.

I always make a point to stop at Impressions de France when I visit Epcot. While the location is a bit out of the way, the attraction itself is very much worth the time to visit. Impressions de France is an 18-minute film that travels all across France, and is accompanied by beautiful arrangements of French classical music. The film is presented in not-quite CircleVision, so the guests can actually sit down and enjoy the movie in any shape. While it may be closed for renovations now, it is telling that the original film will be remaining afterwards. Truly, this is a regular spot to stop by and one of Epcot's most classic attractions.

This has been a favorite of ours for 20 years. OK, so it is dated, but the photography is wonderful, the chateau are beautiful and we get to play, "we were there" the entire time. The theater is a gem, incredibly comfortable. But, the real joy is the sound system. Fantastic. The music by Ravel, or Saint Saens is a joy. The organ concerto, the Carnival of the Animals. It never gets old and is a wonderful relaxing time out after a great meal in France. Highly recommend.

The French pavilion in Epcot is my favorite and this film is a winner. The presentation takes you to all the different parts of France from the Alps to the beach, castles and of course wine making. The soundtrack is lovely with all French composers. I especially like the opening with Debussy Syrinx.

This is an iconic, must-do at Epcot! Yes, sure, it's dated...but...that's what makes it awesome! New isn't always better. People LOVE watching this movie - over and over and over again. It is shear perfection. Perfect music. Perfect scenery. Perfect story. Perfect narrating. I pray that Disney never changes what's kept people happy and re-visiting for so many decades. I visit Epcot, from out of state, several times per year and make sure to ALWAYS watch this movie. I think I might speak for many, many other people when I say that it owns a place in my heart.

This review is not for the French pavilion in general but for the movie titled, “Impressions de France” at the French pavilion.
There are three films at EPCOT: China, France, and Canada. This one is my favorite. The music paired with the film is perfect. And completing the closing moments with Saint-Saens Symphony #3 is nothing short of magnificent. This is actually a great example of matching a soundtrack to a film.
I read some other comments here that the film is out of date. I don’t find any problem with that. Should we expect classic movies to be remade every 5 years with a new cast? I think this is fine the way it is.
In contrast to China and Canada, this is a sit down movie theater. That’s perfect for relaxing in the middle of a hot day. If I could come back anytime soon, I would probably watch this film 3 or 4 more times. It really is a great work.

Lol...I am an ex.pat Brit who has in the past spent time in France and some of it's cities including Paris. I found the France "cast members" to be as authentically pretentious as the real thing! Lol. For me the funniest thing was 18 minutes of FORTY years old movie guests can watch...check the flared pants the groom in the film is wearing PLUS all the old cars and trucks!

Even though the movie was quite obviously filmed in the 1970’s, as the French woman said, “the landscape remains the same.”

While visiting the French pavilion, make sure you stop by Impressions de France for a great presentation on French culture, food and amazing shots of the country. This is a great attraction to do in the hot weather since you get to sit down and it is air conditioned.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The escargot appetizer was my favorite. Good wine selection as well.
