Still one of the best 15-20 minutes at EPCOT. A true classic.
This is still one of the best things to do at EPCOT. The movie is beautiful still, the scenery is gorgeous, the sound system is wonderful and the music is tremendous, mostly Saint Saens. It may be dated but I have loved it for 40 years and hope it never changes.

A bizarre opportunity to time-travel to 1970’s France. If I’d seen it anywhere but Disney I’d have assumed it was satire! Still, it was pleasant to sit down in the air-conditioning for 15 minutes.

I always make a point to stop at Impressions de France when I visit Epcot. While the location is a bit out of the way, the attraction itself is very much worth the time to visit. Impressions de France is an 18-minute film that travels all across France, and is accompanied by beautiful arrangements of French classical music. The film is presented in not-quite CircleVision, so the guests can actually sit down and enjoy the movie in any shape. While it may be closed for renovations now, it is telling that the original film will be remaining afterwards. Truly, this is a regular spot to stop by and one of Epcot's most classic attractions.

This has been a favorite of ours for 20 years. OK, so it is dated, but the photography is wonderful, the chateau are beautiful and we get to play, "we were there" the entire time. The theater is a gem, incredibly comfortable. But, the real joy is the sound system. Fantastic. The music by Ravel, or Saint Saens is a joy. The organ concerto, the Carnival of the Animals. It never gets old and is a wonderful relaxing time out after a great meal in France. Highly recommend.

Even though the movie was quite obviously filmed in the 1970’s, as the French woman said, “the landscape remains the same.”

While visiting the French pavilion, make sure you stop by Impressions de France for a great presentation on French culture, food and amazing shots of the country. This is a great attraction to do in the hot weather since you get to sit down and it is air conditioned.

Located in the French pavilion; this is a pleasant and relaxing way to experience a visual and musical taste of France. (The nearby restaurant and pastry shop can accomodate the actual tasting aspect.)
Located inside; this also provides a nice respite, if the outside weather is uninviting.
Though older; the film is a well conceived tour of the country, and countryside; and provides an excellent enticement to learn more about the area.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The escargot appetizer was my favorite. Good wine selection as well.

The French pavilion in Epcot is my favorite and this film is a winner. The presentation takes you to all the different parts of France from the Alps to the beach, castles and of course wine making. The soundtrack is lovely with all French composers. I especially like the opening with Debussy Syrinx.

Even though this movie has been around a long while it is still one of my favorites and a must do. I could sit through this 150 degree movie multiple time if my family would let me. The scenery is fantastic and the music wonderful. It was also fun talking to the French cast members about what effect the new Ratatouille ride will have on the France Pavilion. Hopefully, Disney will do the right thing and leave Impressions de France.
