    A bit jerky, but fun
My kids mostly enjoy this ride and back in my day it was one of the first real coasters at Disney. Now I'd say there are better ones, but this one is still impressive. However, combined with the darkness, lights and sharp turns, there were a few parts I found pretty disorienting and was a bit 'off' balance wise for the rest of the day. One of my kids also felt like he got jerked into the seating bar a few times, but other than that it was a good time.

    Future coasters!
Space Mountain…an anticipated ride to this day! The excitement of the lights, zipping through the darkness at all heights! Not knowing where you are going, but wanting to go there! The light design is also exciting for those riding the people mover! Always a highlight of Tomorrowland!

Even with all the newer rides, Space Mountain is still a must do.
Space Mountain is one of our favorite rides in Disneyland and we were excited to see if the one in Magic Kingdom was the same. It is not! The ride is still a fast roller coaster in the dark but a major thing that is missing in this one is the music. Space Mountain in Disneyland has an unforgettable soundtrack. I do not know why they did not include that in this Space Mountain. The ride vehicles are also very different. The one at Magic Kingdom you ride 3 to a car one in front of the other. In Disneyland, you are seated in cars with 2 per row next to each other. There are also 2 sides/tracks to the Magic Kingdom Space Mountain. Single rider is available but you have to tell a CM; there isn't really a line for single ride. The line can get very long for this ride, even though Tron and Seven Dwarfs draw a lot of people as well. We tried to go twice during early entry, but Space Mountain was not open until well after the park opened to everyone. Genie + is definitely a good use for this ride. We went to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Space Mountain has a special party overlay. It happens completely in the dark! It was our first time trying Space Mountain at WDW in 11 years so it was terrifying. A cool way to see Space Mountain without riding it is by going on the People mover ride. We got to see Space Mountain with lights on when it was down.

    Still the BEST
Our family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited Disney World for two weeks holiday in October. I rode Space Mountain on my own as we felt this ride was too much for our kids at their age/stage. Whilst my 8 year old was happy on Guardians, Everest, Tower, Big Thunder and Seven Dwarfs, this ride is in darkness and for me, pulls more punch than the other rides mentioned plus Rock n Rollercoaster and Tron, in my opinion. For me, this is still the BEST rollercoaster ride at Disney. As well as being in darkness, the speeds and turns plus length of the ride (the newer rides are over too quickly in my view) gives it the edge over the others. May be this ride isn't actually longer than the others but as it's in darkness, it reduces your senses so makes you think it's lasting longer than you think/want? In any case, a classic rollercoaster you don't want to miss, that was a game changer for Disney parks, which is perhaps why this ride still stands the test of time because it was crafted so well. Enjoy! PS For extra thrill, wait for the front seat of the first carriage so there is no one in front of you. It means you can't see the shadow of people ahead of you which helps you figure out which direction you're going next. Staring into the dark abyss of 'space' is even more thrilling!

Aging Gracefully. It Remains One of the Favorite Coasters at Disney
Showing its age a bit but Space Mountain is still a blast. It's an indoor wild mouse type coaster but in the dark. Great theming including in the long queue. It remains one of the highlights of a visit to the Magic Kingdom. Try to ride first thing in the morning or use Genie+ to avoid a long wait.

Space Mountain is one of the first Disney rides I enjoyed riding as a teenager. Today I didn’t enjoy the ride as much, it’s small for a full grown person and seem to just jar me around a lot, unlike the Rock N Roll Roller Coaster that I really enjoy riding, having more room and the turns and spins that don’t jar your back as much. Overall, this is a good ride, just not a good fit for me.

Imagine not having a wheelchair to bypass the line. Screaming children all over the place.

We got hungry about an hour in so in and we tried to order from seamless. The courier got stuck in the line too and ended up needing to eat our food.

The coaster itself was pretty good. Took about 2 hours to get there.

This is a solid coaster for MK. It does not go upside down. It is pretty smooth for its age., you do get thrown around a little. The wait can be long, so get a fast pass or catch it at the end of the night. We caught it just as the fireworks were ending and walked on. I would say Space Mountain the the 3rd best coaster in MK behind 7 Dwarfs and Big Thunder.

So glad I did this ride as it is completely different to Disneyland Paris, which I had done in November. We had a VIP guide who got us straight on, if I had had to wait chances are I would have missed it. Love these sort of rides that can get you screaming and laughing at the same time. I am not the biggest fan of Roller Coasters in the dark, due to motion sickness but this was fine, felt perfect when I came off. Definitely recommend using one of your Fast Passes for this one.

My kids loved this. We went in late August with no lines, and they were able to get on several times.

Seats are in a row, so you don't sit next to anyone. Keep this in mind if you are riding with a little kid.

I actually did not like the ride so much, but I am old. It didn't seem that dark to me. At the end, I realized it was because some idiot behind me was filming it with his flash on. Ride ain't so pretty when its all lit up!

During CoVid, the line is long and social distancing is in place. It looks like a long wait, but it's shorter than it looks. Our waiting time was 5 minutes, but we kept moving until we got to our rocket. It was great to stop and take pictures along the way.

Before blastoff, I stuffed my hoodie in the pocket provided, and removed my hat. I am so glad that I did!! The ride seemed darker and faster than before. We had not ridden Space Mountain in over five years. It was a lot of fun, and my only complaint was my old, creaky joints. Getting in was easier than getting off. It was worth it!

We had a special ticket for Disney’s villains after party on Friday March 6th. It was truly an amazing experience. We walked right in space mountain. In 20 years of going to Disney that has never happen. The ride is just as good as BB I remember from years ago. It was pitch black absolutely no lights on. Was super fun and exciting.
