not looking to spend 5+ hours on the Keys to the Kingdom tour -- take too much time out of day / attention span of all in your group. I highly recommend the Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour. Leaving before the park opens- you initial walk down Main Street getting tidbits and info from your leader ( via headsets) - is very peaceful. You go behind the scenes in the Haunted Mansion to check outexactly how the ballroom attraction works ( then ride the ride with more info on audio set)- over towards Small World and more info - and on to the Carousel of Progress for info and a ride ( again with addition info) -- From the casual Disney fan to the very serious, this focuses on Walt and his involement with the parks / attractions etc. We had a great guide ( which would make all the difference)-

I was very disappointed at Disney World Magic Kingdom. I had put in my fast pass and unfortunately it had put in p.m. instead of a.m. which OK I understand that. However, when I went over there the girl at the thunder mountain ride was extremely rude no customer service. She basically was very rude to me and there was no reason for that. Then she went on to say the park would be able to midnight well according to everything that we have been going through and we have been here now for four days the park closes at 9:30 therefore I was a little confused as to why she would mention something like that. I’ve been going to Disney World for over a year and a bid to Magic Kingdom, I have never had a situation like this. Would I recommend Magic Kingdom yes but what I wanna say to everyone out there be very careful look at your fast passes look at your tickets make sure it’s what you want whether it be a.m. or p.m. but there was no need for lack of customer service when it comes to the clientele that visit Disney World. If she doesn’t like her job she’s fine when she likes otherwise get a better attitude and treat people with respect.

Attended the 8am tour in early April 2019. Tour guide (Mary Beth from Pittsburgh, PA) was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She did a nice job keeping everyone together and on track. It was obvious how much she enjoyed Disney and her role. Well worth it but there is limited “backstage time”. However, it was neat to see some of it. We spent some time behind the Haunted Mansion and It’s a Small World. One downside - a bit too much time spent at the Haunted Mansion and I think more time could have been spent on Main Street and at the Carousel of Progress. Not too much about the castle either. That said - I learned a lot about Mr. Disney and the park overall. Definitely allow enough time to get into the park even for an early tour. We stayed at a Disney resort and I drove to the park. I suggest leaving at 6:40am if you travel a similar route.

Kudos to Darlene, an amazing tour guide! My adult son and I went on this tour last week and we both found it to be packed with information. It moved quickly and the tour guide kept our interest every step of the way. We started at 8:00am, made our way up Main Street, USA, then proceeded to the Haunted Mansion where we were able to take a back stage tour, of sorts. We moved on to a private "showing" of It's a Small World and then concluded with Carousel of Progress. Our tour guide was a wealth of information! I continue to think about all the things I learned along the way and wonder how I never noticed some obvious details. The tour was reasonably priced. It was approximately $40 per person, including taxes (I used my Disney Visa which shaved off 15%). The only advice I would offer those planning to go the MK so early is to plan for more time than you think. We didn't know that we had to take the ferry from the Transportation Center. We were counting on the tram being in operation that early. It was not. The trip on the ferry took longer than expected, causing some anxiety. We got to the tour a few minutes late, but maybe should have given ourselves more time. This was the first Behind the Scenes tour at Disney after visiting the parks a zillion times. It won't be the last!

I finally booked the Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour after many trips to Magic Kingdom. I admit to being a huge fan of Disney World and Walt Disney. This tour did not disappoint. Our guide, Anibal, gave us some great historical information about Walt Disney and his dreams for Disney World based on his experiences as a young man growing up. The tour included a lot of anecdotes about the Disney family and gave us a backstage look at the Haunted Mansion along with some great trivia about the Carousel of Progress. For me, the only downside was that I missed some of our guide’s commentary when we visited really loud attractions. Despite that, I highly recommend this tour if you are a Disney fan.
