Great fun. The staff were helpful and friendly, Amanda, Courtney and Kelsey. Would recommend you try this if you like playing puzzle games. We did the face off room and pandemic room. Just amazing. 😃👍.

America’s Escape Game is top notch. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are extremely well done and the theming is amazing.
It’s not always about beating the game, it is about the fun you have while attempting to beat the clock. They create an environment designed for a good time to be had by all.
The reason for my low rating reflects the experience my friends and I had on a specific occasion rather than with the overall company and what they offer. I think they deserve a higher rating for what they do in general, but our experience was tainted by a fellow player. I feel I need to base my review on my experience as a whole rather than what should have been.
My friend and I have been playing escape games about once month or more for over a year now. We had a friend in town from London who really wanted to try and escape room, so we decided to give America’s Escape Game a try. I have heard nothing but positive things about this company from my friends who have played there, plus there are tons of positive reviews here. So we were pretty optimistic. We knew they would probably pair us with other players and we wanted them to, because we figured the more active brains we had on the case the better. There were three of us and two other people had booked the game too. Shortly before our game started another player booked as well. There were now going to be 6 of us to take on the challenge.
We met our fellow teammates before the game and everyone had done at least one escape game before, but we were all new to this location. Everyone was friendly, enthusiastic, and honest about their strengths and weaknesses. We were off to a good start, or so we thought.
Once we got into the room they made us designate a leader. The one woman who was by herself volunteered. No one else seemed to want the responsibility, so she was it. Unfortunately our “leader” was neither a leader nor team player. She tried to micromanage everyone, she hoarded puzzles to herself, and failed to communicate with anyone about what she was doing. Everyone at one point in the game wanted to kill her. Her failure to communicate meant she just got in the way of the progress the rest of us were making. The rest of us worked really well as a team and had it just been the five of us the experience would have been fantastic. However, she would wander off and then shout questions to us to see if we had done this or that. She would physically get in the way of us trying to solve puzzles. She was just a huge buzzkill and unfortunately was friend of an employee who just placed her in our room at the last minute, so we felt as if we couldn’t say anything at the time. It was awkward. Someone who lacks leadership skills who also can’t work as part of a team really shouldn’t be playing these games, at least not with other people. Escape rooms are very much a team effort kind of experience and communication is key.
There were a few other minor issues with this experience worth noting, because they can be easily fixed. Half of our team was from Europe, so when a date was needed to say unlock or solve something they would enter it the way the rest of the world does, not the America way. They would enter the date first and then the month. This is something the employees could offer up as a “free hint” since they have so many international visitors. Also, when the employee who was watching our game spoke to us over the intercom system is was very difficult to understand him. There was a lot of static and he had to repeat himself like three times before we could piece together what he was saying. And finally, my last gripe has to do with some of the actual puzzles. While most of them were fun and inventive, some of them were just long. As in they began to feel like busy work. Some were not overly complicated they were just time consuming.
I will give America’s Escape Game another try and hopefully I can write a more positive review, because I do see the potential for a great experience. It’s too bad ours was damped by a friend of an employee.

My wife and I tried this out for our anniversary on the weekend of May 15th. We both enjoyed this as probably one of our favorite activities we've ever taken a part in. I was skeptical at first because most brain games tend to be disappointing, and not very challenging, but I enjoyed this immensely.
And a special shout out to Ladrez for hosting our event, it wouldn't be the same without him.

We had such fun trying to sort out this escape! Use the 3 clues - they are there for you and can help!! Challenging for even super smarties 👍🏼
Judson and Jeremy were helpful from the moment we walked in until the final challenge was over. Thank you!

This was a welcome change from the everyday. Jeff, our game master, helped when we were stuck but stayed on the sidelines and let us take full advantage of the experience. We will definitely be back again!

I've been to many different escape rooms around the US, and this one was hands down the best, both in terms of the room and staff. Our puzzle master was Steve-o, and he most definitely went above and beyond. I scheduled Caretaker for our group, but upon entering the room where they show you the introductory video, one of our members freaked out when she learned that the room would have scary/jumpy elements to it. Instead of just apologizing and leading us out, he found a way to fit us into another room soon after. Given my experience with staff elsewhere, I seriously doubt other places would have been as accommodating (especially for the rooms in NYC). Our group ended up escaping Pandemic with 5 minutes to spare, and I can't wait to go back and give Caretaker and the other rooms a shot.
Thanks again Steve-O and staff!

We had so much fun with the first room, we decided to return the next day and do another one. Brett, Clarissa, and Albert offered great customer service. Albert stayed late to help get us scheduled. Brett was a grwat room moderator (very attentive and personable.) Clarissa was very welcoming and friendly. There were lots of different types of puzzles, excellent decor/themes, and something for everyone to do. We have done several escape rooms and this was one of the best.

This was our first escape game experience. I must see we all had alot of fun and it was very challenging for us. We worked together as a team and got to a certain point but we basically ran out of time. I would recommend it for families with older kids-- too difficult for young kids- and workplace activity and also a group of friends and/or family outings. We will go back to this one to do another challenge. Really fun and mysterious.

Hello! Will a party of four be teamed with other people?

If other people want to go to the same room at the same time then yes they will, there is usually an option to book privately but it's more expensive

Is it ok for a person with difficulty walking

Yes- you will be on teams and you could be the person receiving the clues from the other teammates to translate. There are no chairs in the room and might be tight to fit a wheel chair, but if you are able to stand. In the face off game there is a piece in the center that has clues that is also used for a surface to help transcribe the codes from the clues that the other
Teammates can scramble around and get for you. Hope this is helpful! If you would need a chair to sit in - call and ask if they could put one in the room for you. They are super nice there.

Hi,
I live in LM Fl. My sons age 22, 24 and nephews 23 25, plus his girlfriend 25 are coming in from diff parts of the country for Christmas eve. We parents are 55-60 yrs old. This will be our first go at visiting an escape room.
I am trying to choose between Crisis room and Lost Tomb of Monthu because we are 10 people total. I do not want to split up because we are trying to create family memories and spend time doing an activity together. I want the boys to enjoy it so much they actually want to spend time with us in the future and come back! Our grown boys are all athletes... they play basketball and lift weights. I would like to know which escape room might hold these guys attention the most...
My sister in law and I love Egypt and mummies but it is the boys I am worried about and focused on. From what I hear Caretaker sounds intriguing but that is 5 person maximum so not an option. In your opinion which has the best artisitic or theatrical sets and sound effects to keep our boys intrigued and focused that accommodates 10 people?
Thanks!

Hi! We are so happy to have you join us during your holiday. I would recommend the Lost Tomb of Monthu for your group. I am confident that you and your entire family will have a great time. Should you need any help with finalizing your reservation please give us a call at 407-412-5585.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
We are trying the Lost Tomb of Monthu for a birthday this coming weekend. Most of us have never done one before but one of us is experienced and has done the tomb before it has been revised. Will he know too much? Or has this room been revised enough to do again? I heard it's hard so maybe we could use his help! Thank you!

Hi Shain! The Lost Tomb of Monthu was redesigned in the last few months. It is true that this escape room is one of themore challenging experiences that we offer. We have many guests play each room a few times as there are so many different challenges and puzzles to complete that you can play again and again and not repeat the same work as you previously have done. If you would like to speak with a reservation specialist to help with your celebration please give us a call at 407-412-5585. Good luck and good solving!

Is this room suitable for people that doesn't understand English very well?
MElizabethGr
Windermere, FL9 contributions
As long as you are playing with others who are either native speakers or completely fluent. There is some reading involved and you'll be solving riddles and puzzles in English, however there are also many things to solve that don't involve reading or understanding English.
How much for 2 adults?

Groupon has stuff all of the time. Otherwise, I believe it's around 35 for each adult. Well worth it!!!
