Lasting Impressions
Sep 2021
We went to "Lasting Impressions" in the small Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center. It's a 3D LED immersion experience of Impressionist art with perfectly timed music. It's similar to the Van Gogh Live/Immersive Van Gogh exhibit that was at the Dali Museum & is coming to Orlando, but it is NOT the same. We sat at one of several bistro tables in front of the screen and enjoyed a light bite of cheese & fruit with wine during the presentation. The food & drinks were overpriced, but added to the experience. We parked at the City Commons garage. It's a short walk, about 2 blocks, which was fine since it wasn't raining.

Lastiing Impressions made a lasting impression!

Lasting Impressions is an incredible 3D Impressionist art experience at the Dr. Phillips Center. I don't know how they did it, but they made these beautiful paintings come to life! Please the wine and snacks were delicious.

Great idea

Went with friends to the Front Yard outdoor set up in front of the Dr Phillips Performance Arts Center. After finding a nearby parking spot for $10, we walked around to the front and went through temperature a screening. We saw the movie Les Miserables on a big screen. We sat in a box seat built for four, with each box set a little higher than the one in front of it. You could then scan the menu, mobile order and have the wait staff deliver your food and drinks right to your box. Just a wonderful idea to use this space for a variety of entertainment options. The set up was brilliant and the presentation was flawless. The picture was clear and the sound was just right. The view of downtown Orlando was nice and the weather was just perfect. Wonderful night, great memories were made,

Pre-COVID I had the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful venue for the best concert ever...front row seats with a bird's eye view of an amazing concert. The venue is gorgeous. Parking was a bit of challenge due to construction but I long for the days when we could enjoy a great concert with lovely people. Hang in there...we'll get there again!

I went to go see Aladdin here and I have ti say, it’s probably my favorite theatre/performing arts center I’ve ever been too. It was very clean and the staff was nice. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful but expensive concessions

This venue is beautiful, very clean and has nice service. 2 drinks and a bottle of water was $48. Yes $48! Easy to get around with lots of team members to help guide you.

Beautiful facility but lacks parking
Feb 2020
We've been twice in the last 6 months. One event we prepaid the valet parking. Even though the signage will tell you that valet is full, you should be ok to proceed as long as you have your prepaid voucher either online (cell phone) or paper print out. The box office will also give you an option for "City Commons" parking. Don't do it. Unless you give yourself an extra hour to 90 minutes for this you will miss the start of your event. Traffic and construction in downtown Orlando is horrendous. Be forewarned. This happened to me over the weekend when we went to see Aladdin. The theatre itself along with other facilities is beautiful. They office full bar and snacks in the lobby. Depending on the artist or production, the events usually sell out, so there are lots of people there. I would say that this combination along with location and lack of parking are minuses that could affect the success of your outing.

Beatiful venue
Jan 2020
The venue was beautiful, seats were comfortable, and audio was great! We saw the Broadway Aladdin show and it was wonderful! The only con was that we parked in the parking lot 2 blocks away, but they had construction blocked the front of the venue, so we had to walk around it, which made it more of a 5 blocks walk.

DISAPPOINTED. While the ballet was adequate the staging was either virtual or nonexistent. The TREE which is usually a lovely visual it was reduced to being a curtain. Waste of money.
