I have visited the P House for years. The staff has never been anything but nice to me. The restaurant is adequate - the meat obviously is packed in boxes and frozen, but it is pretty good for what it is. It's more like a diner than a full service restaurant. Not enough towels in your room? Ask for more at the front desk or from a house keeper! Remote stolen by former guest - ask at the desk. Too cold? Close the air vent. Personally, I take a heater in the winter, but I understand that new doors are planned, and possibly room heating/A/C units. For now Security can usually adjust the temperature from a central location. Again, call the front desk during the day - but remember that Security won't enter a guest room for that at 3 A.M. Simply leaving the door open causes the units to freeze; the same thing that would happen if you did it at home. I have never, in 20 years, been asked for a tip by the cleaning staff or anyone else at this location. I have seen rooms totally trashed by guests who didn't even leave a $1 tip. LEAVE A TIP, and hope that you never experience what these women see almost every day. Most hotels change the sheets about every other day now, and this is no exception. But they will change them if you ask. Don't take out on the desk clerk items over which they have no control. They can help with your problem and pass it to the correct location, but it's not their fault. It comes down to communication.. Treat the staff the way that you would hope to be treated under the same circumstances If you have a Florida I.D. ask if there is a special rates for the rooms. My main complaint? The daily charge for the in-room safe. And if you don't like this place then stay home. Or go to the Scottish Inn in Ocala. You'll never complain about another hotel in your life.

Now that I've made it home through some nasty weather I must say The Parliament House Resort Orlando owners/management should be ashamed that they've neglected and let this property fall into such squalor as it was once a world renowned gay destination resort. It's a large property with motel style rooms, several bars, large dance, a theatre for live performances, a nice pool, courtyard, and a decent restaurant There's no way the rooms we were checked in to should have been rented if there's work needed to be done to the room including cleaning the multitude of stains on the carpets, then block those rooms until everything is cleaned up and ready for guests. Gez, it's only the resort's reputation at stake. They've got a little over 3 wks before throngs of gays descend on the city for Gay Days. They'll want top $ for those rooms then and some quests are going to be PISSED at the sight of their rented rooms. Unless they can do an overhaul in 3 weeks the best advice is to party at P-house and get a room somewhere else.

We have stayed here multiple times in recent years. We stayed over New Years Eve-which required a 2 night stay.
The room had tile floors, thank goodness. But who knows when the floors had last been moped.
I did not expect 5 start resort, we were basically stating so we did not have to drink and drive. Can someone at least bleach the floors each time someone checks out? This would cost pennies...and is effective.
I did expect there to be an effort on cleaning the room, and sadly there was none in this case.
If you are looking to stay in this area, check out the Best Western that is near by...much better option.
On a final note, the staff here are unfriendly...especially the gal that checks ids for the club...Mrs. Ross?....we had seats reserved for the show, and when we arrived at 10 minutes til showtime they had given out seats away...really???? We were staying hotel customers and that's the best we get?? Don't worry the owner and his posse sure had plenty of seats.
In short, we are long time patrons of this establishment, treated badly, and a nasty room. We will not be back...there are resorts around the globe that will gladly take our money and treat us like kings...

Had a nice stay this is definitely a very date resort and in bad need of upgrades.the restaurant has good food and fair prices. There is a nice little bar on site called the Bear Den it's a nice place to grab a drink or two.

I wish I had looked up the health code violations before I actually stayed there. The place is filthy, hot, smokey, and the staff are rude. The room had soiled sheets, but this is common if you read the list of health code violations. The food made me ill, but when I called the health department I learned that they had several "critical" violations recently in which the place was not sanitary and the food wasn't kept at the correct temperature. This place isn't safe, let alone nice..

Some of the staff at the Parliament House need a course in customer service. Anthony and Drew at the front desk counter are very rude. They could care less about any problems you have with your room. Paying $99 a night I expect the staff to try and help me with any problems I may have with the room. Also you can not control the A/C in your own room.
The security guard Bruce is a total DICK. I guess his sole job function is to play curtain patrol and harass people who are just sitting on the picnic table talking.....not doing anything but talking.
Also the cigarette smoke inside the bars are awful. I feel the need to take a shower after I spend a few hours inside the club (and I ask for a non smoking room however both rooms were already reserved). They need more non smoking rooms and they need to make the inside bars NON SMOKING .

The Parliament House is thoroughly vile, and I do mean thoroughly. The patio is always filthy and looks like a tacky Sweet 16 just ended, the bathrooms are all stall-less, the bartenders are apathetic at best, the crowd is handsy to the point where you have to physically push grabby men away on the dance floor. The only thing worthwhile is The Bear Bar (and you can get the same vibe at St. Matthew’s Tavern on Mills without having to put up with the Parliament House experience). The environment is so atrocious that a game has been made out of the bar. It’s called Parliament House Bingo. For every open hotel room door with a naked guy lying in bed watching a Family Guy re-run, you get a letter. When you get Bingo, you get to leave.
More than this, though, I am infuriated by the managing staff. Last night, a friend of mine was attacked, and the level of ambivalence demonstrated by the staff was absolutely staggering. For a resort, one would think that Parliament House would be prepared to handle a crisis. When I approached a staff member (I don’t remember his name but he was wearing a white polo shirt and seemed to be running things) to report the attack, he had the audacity to ask me what I wanted him to do about it. I had to take actions on my own while my friend, who was just attacked ON PROPERTY, was left alone and unattended. When I told the staff member I would be calling the police, he yelled at me to “Do it!” as if it were a personal indictment on him and not the reasonable thing to do. As if by calling the police, I was personally offending him. I spoke to the police while he talked to another staff member, both of which made no attempts at tracking down the attacker. Again, for a resort, how is it possible that there is no security on staff? The answer: of course there is. But even after I gave the man in the white polo a detailed description of the attacker, he did nothing and contacted no one to pursue him. What they did do, however, was interrogate my friend. How many drinks did he have? Why was he talking to the attacker in the first place? My friend was the victim last night and your staff made him feel like he was at fault for a crime that was committed to him. The level of heartlessness can be summed up in one exchange I had with White Polo wherein he threatened to have us removed from the bar if we didn’t quiet down. My friend was sobbing and I was asking White Polo to help and do something, anything. His answer was to threaten to ban us, as if we had any desire to go back in there. I guess you don’t cover basic tact at orientation.
Further, once the police arrived, I overheard them speaking to the man in the white polo about the attacker and it came to be known that the attacker has been on the premises before and that this is not their first experience with him. If so, why wouldn’t more precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of the clientele? On top of that, when I asked White Polo about security cameras, he told me there are none. So recap: lackluster security and no cameras! What a safe, fun environment!
Parliament House, you are only as strong as your weakest link. Last night made it clear that you are being held together exclusively by weak links.

I flew from Phoenix to Orlando and they would now accept my military ID. I am well beyond the drinking age, pushing 30. The only reason I flew so far was to go to this night club with my military brothers. Even after the police agreed that I had I valid ID they still refused to let me in. At no point during the night was I vulgar or rude. The employees are incredibly unprofessional. The worst part is that I actually bought a ticket and flew across the country just to go here. I've been all over the world and have never had this happen. As a service member I'm incredibly disappointed. They should be ashamed of themselves.

From the local media I know the property is in financial disaster. For god sakes; get a buyer from Palm Springs or Lauderdale in there and turn the place around! The straight people that own it have turned it into an embarrassment for Orlando!
Room #213 was clean, smelled nice, everything worked in it, had decent linens and pillows. However room decor and amenities SUCKED! No alarm clock, hair dryer, toiletries, hangers, pay per view movies and a small/old tube TV. No adjustable air conditioning. Carpet is matted; funiture is worn and cheep, needs replacing...
Front desk person was not friendly or fouth comming with answers to basic questions.
Professional sercurity is needed around court yard especially late night and dawn. Homeless/street people need to be removed!
Adults like to play with adults. Anyone under 21 should not be allowed on property or allocated special nights only...
Bar tenders I encountered were super nice and pored a strong drink. On sight restaurant needs to be shut down; dirty and gross food...
The drag show/queens are over done and past it's prime...
Basic elements of a gay themed resort are missing; strippers, porn, hot tub, clothing optional sun bathing, fun locals, etc...

I reserved a room, checked in and in 10 minutes I asked for a refund and left. Worst hotel I have ever seen. The room was very dirty and dated, say a cockroach and had several strangers (hustlers/homeless/addicts) peeking on my window waiting for me to come out. I felt threatened and left ASAP.
