Nice place to hike. Well-cared for trails. Relaxing time in Florida's nature. I was a cooler day, so didn't see any wildlife, but we enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful, 3.5 miles of well-maintained trails and boardwalks, perfect for a family outing. Follow part of the trail Hernando De Soto’s expedition traveled. The nature center is very nice and informative, with outdoor pens of rescued gopher tortoises.

My wife was very sure we had to go to the Preserve. We were not disappointed in going to it it was well marked as for the trails and it was so beautiful to see and it was so relaxing to do it. It was so clam and quiet there one could think and enjoy it.

The Preserve is fairly easy to find, even though the signs are not prominent There is no admission fee. There are several trails, all of which are flat, and none of which are lengthy. There are some exposed tree roots, and the paths are not paved. There is a lot of shade on most of the trails. There are only the most basic facilities available. I didn't see any alligators (I heard at least 2) or Ospreys. Dalton the Sulcata Tortoise is there to greet you when you arrive. Overall an enjoyable visit if you have a couple of hours to spare.…
