Will be sadly missed
Mar 2019
The first time we saw this wonderful firework and laser show we just stood with our mouths open. We all said ‘wow!’ It takes place on the huge lake surrounded by all the different countries, and it is truly spectacular.

I absolutely love the music, it’s inspiring and very emotional and the message seems as relevant today as it did the first time we saw it many years ago.

The revolving Earth globe which rotates slowly around the lagoon, the inferno barge which radiated heat, the amazing fireworks and lasers, the illuminated buildings, all combined to give a feeling of belonging, of being part of earth’s great family, united, if only for a few moments.

We always left with a feeling of euphoria, and a wonderful feeling of peace and goodwill towards mankind.

So sad it is no more.

Gone, but never forgotten.
Sep 2019
Since they announced the end of this show, I went to Epcot once a month till the final weekend the show ended. I am glad i was able to see this show as many times as i did. This show was amazing and i am still shocked that Disney ended it. It had a beautiful positive message along with amazing fireworks and lighting.
The reason i think this show did not feel dated, is because of the message it has.

They say Change is good, lets see.

Glad we saw it before it was gone.
Mar 2019
We visited in March 2018 and were able to see the show at that time. As the last show was in September 2019, we are happy that we did get to see this iconic performance before it ended. We have seen a few Disney shows and overall liked the others maybe a little more; however, this was still an amazing show that we are glad we did get to see. You could stand anywhere around the water for a decent view. Our family and friends thought the show was a great way to end a day at Epcot.

Great show!
Nov 2018
This show was great! It was not my favorite show in the Disney Parks, but it was still a great show.
It was nice that you could see it from different places (from the different pavilions) so the crowd would not be in just one spot. I loved the song and I am a little sad that it's over, but I have to say that other than the beginning and the ending, there was not much going on.
Even though, great show and it will be missed.

Spectacular
Sep 2019
I've seen this show lots of times, as a child, as an adult and finally with my own children. It was a great show, the fireworks were brilliant and timed with the music and the other special effects. The only down side to the recent visit was that the fast pass area was absolutely packed. On our previous visit the fast pass area was much more 'select' and gave a wonderful atmosphere. It's a shame it has now gone, but I'm sure it will be replaced with something else even better.

One of Epcot's Finest Shows, and Sadly Gone
Sep 2019
Illuminations closed on September 30, 2019, but I was fortunate to see it one last time about two weeks before that. The show was a masterwork, featuring fireworks, lasers, and a barge of fire on the Lagoon (so bright and hot, you could feel it from hundreds of feet away). The viewing area gave a clear view of the show and all the fireworks, all very beautiful and incredible. It got crowded, of course, like all nighttime shows, but it made the whole experience magical. It is truly sad that the show is gone, especially after having been going for 20 years, but I will remember it for some time. Hopefully, what new show that follows it will be just as good.

Our LAST IllumiNations Show!
Aug 2019
Sadly this trip will mark the last time for us to see IllumiNations, as Disney is ending it and replacing with a new spectacular. We had missed seeing it on a few of our previous trips and decided to make it a Must Do for one last hurrah this trip. It was as fun and fantastic as we remembered. Staying at the Beach Club Resort, we made a quick walk from the resort after dinner and entered by way of the back World Showcase entrance and stood on the bridge between England and France. Our exit was just as quick, avoiding the massive crowds. The evening was extremely hot, but it did not diminish our enthusiasm for this memorable show. Sorry it is going, but we look forward to seeing what Disney puts in its place!
