We went to see the Luenell show last night. A.G. White was the opening act and did a fantastic job. Luenell was awesome. She kept it real and adequately engaged the audience.
The venue is nice although a little cramped. You’re not allowed to take...More
It was a night full of laughter with good friends. The place is cozy, loved the atmosphere! The only kind of meh thing is that the food is expensive but it was a great experience. Preacher was hilarious!!!
WHAT A JOKE! Im not happy. We couldn’t get-in after, registering online, downloading tickets, rushing over in traffic, going through the packed paid parking garage, and waiting in line in the cold, to only get turned away, because they overbooked. Apparently management doesn't know how...More
The show was awesome! We love Mr Piffles! Piff is hilarious, a great comedian and card magician. Jade his assistant is a great compliment to his show. Can’t wait until he comes back to Orlando or we catch him in our travels. Thank you for...More

I had never been to an Improv club, so when given the chance to see a cheap show why not. Its a great location, with plenty of parking so if you park on the 3rd level you can take the footbridge right to the club....More

We went for the Saturday night 7pm show with Felipe Esparza. The show started right at 7pm with 2 comedians. They performed until 7:45pm then Felipe came on for 1 hour. It was 2 hours of non-stop laughs! They suggest getting there about 90 mins...More

We saw Margaret Cho. I’m not sure what you mean by mystery show. However it was a date night for me and my boyfriend. There were other couples and families and tables of women having a girls night out! It was awesome! We ordered drinks and appetizers also. You can dress up or down. I wore jeans and heels with a cute top. I seen dresses, women and men in shorts, it’s casual based on you night out. I hope it helps! I know the always have great comics
Prices vary depending on the headliner. There is a group on $20 for four people or $15 for two, but it cannot be used for premium shows or Friday or Saturday. The website calendar is up to date.

Dinner before Improv (2 Replies)
Looking for a romantic dinner before going to the Improv comedy theatre on Bridge St. Any recommendations?

There are no romantic restaurants in the Waterfront shopping center where the Improv is. There are a lot of chain restaurants, some with OK food, but that's about as much as you can say for the place. But you bring your romance with you, and for price you can't beat the Costco $1.50 drink and hotdog deal! So assuming you do choose to leave the Waterfront area, there are many options available. Try the Casbah on Highland Avenue, or Soba on Ellsworth. Interesting places, great food.

Need advice for one of my nights! (4 Replies)
Hi, I'll be in your great city this time next week and I can't wait. It's been 20 years since I've been there! We have most of our days/nights outlined with either definite things we are going to do, or at least ideas. Out of the 4 nights, 2 will be shows/dinner, 1 will be a night tour (but will end about 9:30). We are trying to decide what to do with our other free night and maybe something after the bus tour. We don't want to go to nightclubs - we usually just have drinks with dinner. ...More

How do you feel about wearing lots of layers, and heading up to Central Park's Wollman Rink for a bit of ice skating? That (plus a rewarding hot cocoa) will keep you pretty warm.
Need hotel advice....going to improv and ikea! (7 Replies)
Ok, so every year my husband takes me to Ikea and Pittsburgh for my birthday. This year we will leave on Saturday, check out some shopping possibly at the Waterfront, and have dinner and a show at the Improv...then back for the night. The next day we will hit up Ikea before heading home. Looking for a hotel that is possibly near the Improv (or offers a shuttle) and that we can easily get to Ikea from the next morning. We have stayed downtown in the past but possibly want to try something else...More

There is only 1 hotel at the Waterfront: Courtyard Pittsburgh West Homestead/Waterfront Also, my advice is not to eat at the Improv. Eat at Rock Bottom, right across the street from the Improv. Food is really good! And, Waterfront and IKEA are not near each other. IKEA is about a 30 minute drive from the Waterfront. If you want any other questions answered, let me know.
