Florida is actually not a very pretty state...if you're on land. You really need to experience Florida from the water, be it a lake, a spring, a river, or the ocean. Paddleboarding is one of the best ways to be on the water. Compared to a power boat, paddling gives you a workout and you get to see more wildlife. Paddleboarding is not that difficult to learn. I already knew how to paddle when I went out with Wave of Wellness, but Jessica and her team are very knowledgeable and patient, and I'm sure they can teach anyone. You don't have to be an athlete, and people of all body shapes enjoy paddling. I recently went on a night paddle on the Banana River to view the bioluminescent microorganisms that sometimes appear in the summer. The trip was well organized, the location was beautiful, and the group was relaxed and fun. I am a local, and I look forward to going out with this group again.

This was my 2nd trip with Wave of Wellness to Punta Mita! I love the view from the balcony of our luxury accommodations was breathtaking! We could see the whole little town of Punta Mita as well as the boats in the bay and whales jumping in the ocean in the horizon! The people of Punta Mita are friendly and welcoming! We had local charter boats and fun local Captains take us to SUP, Surf, Spear fish, Snorkel, whale watch and explore the world famous Marietta Island. We took an extra trip via boat to a beautiful and fun waterfall in Quimixto! Anytime we wanted, we could take a board and surf or SUP right off the shoreline. The food both in the restaurants and that Jessica and her team prepared was delicious! The local sandy floor restaurants had tables & chairs Oceanside, so you could grab a board, surf or paddle and come back and enjoy a Margarita and some snacks or just people watch! The local vendors came by with their goods... It was so hard to say "No Gracias", but I'd be broke with extra baggage fees if I bought everything I wanted!! The itinerary was so well organized. Yoga Instructor Jessica created such a beautiful Rooftop Poolside and Oceanside Yoga class (even a SUP Yoga class), it was a relaxing way to start or end our days. We even had Massages available!! Our hosts Jessica and her team insured we had everything we needed and more! I will definitely go back for a 3rd time!!!!

I was on a quest. For the past few months during our many travels, I had been searching for someone to teach me the basics of land paddling. I’d been paddleboarding for a few years and love other skate&carving sports, but had no experience on skateboards. I had tried to find just the right person with a longboard skateboard and a stick at a variety of surf/SUP/skate shops, but one of those elements always seemed to be missing. But then, harmonic convergence! What my husband and I discovered on a trip to Florida a few weeks ago was the best possible scenario: Jessica at Wave of Wellness! Jessica and her SUP tours, yoga practice and personal training came up in my search with a mention of land paddling as one of her many specialties on the Wave of Wellness link on Yelp. A cold call turned into a warm and wonderful opportunity as Jessica not only had all the gear, but was able to fit in a session for the two of us with very short notice. Finally, we had found just the right person to teach us something we really wanted to learn and we were in the right place at the right time. …And we can’t thank her enough! Jessica not only made time for us, it was a quality experience. She had prepared our lesson with fantastic gear, a thorough lesson plan for true beginners and mucho patience and encouragement. She gave us a solid foundation to continue with the sport and made it truly fun. Jessica is a natural teacher who is extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful and inspiring. What a gem! Wave of Wellness and its vast array of offerings (amazing paddleboarding tours, SUP yoga, personal training and lessons) will be part of our itinerary on our next Orlando adventure.

My wife and I met Jessica for a landpaddle lesson. My last time on a skateboard? Can’t remember and it didn’t matter, because Jessica taught basic techniques and had me comfortable quickly with the landpaddle experience. Soon I was rolling, paddling, taking corners, and shifting my weight using the paddle. She got me hooked when she demonstrated how to switch feet positions will rolling. Kudos to, Jessica, for getting me immediate results.

I booked a private SUP Yoga lesson with Jessica. It was my first time trying yoga on a paddleboard. I paddle very frequently as well as do yoga a few times a week and looked forward to this challenge of combining the two. Everything was easily planned. Location was perfect in Windermere. Very calm warm water. Jessica's instruction was great and she knew how much to push the moves. Really enjoyed and would do again if in the area.
