My daughter got transformed into a mermaid at the Pirates League. Very cool experience. The cast members play their roles well. They were engaging and funny. In my opinion they were more relaxed and less rushed than the make over at the bippidy boutique- however I think my daughter enjoyed the bippidy boutique more. There were definitely boys getting makeovers... More

I highly recommend the Pirate League experience at Magic Kingdom. My son has done this for the past 4 years and it's always on his must-do list. Important notes: - Make reservations in advance. You cannot make reservations where you check-in; only via phone. - Check-in is in between the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and the gift shop. -... More

Our son enjoyed his pirate transformation. they even gave him a pirate name. The whole experience was really fun - my son was convinces that he had to keep his special treasure hidden from the other pirates. The special treasure is only revealed after taking the pirate oath and being taken to a small room for photos. I won't reveal... More

Our first thought when visiting Disney with a 7 year old girl was a princess makeover, but when they did not have any appointments available the Pirate's League was suggested by a Disney cast member. My daughter did want to be Ariel after all. I hesitantly booked this makeover not knowing what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised. We... More

What an experience. You become completely immersed in pirate ways. Get made to be like a pirate or a mermaid before having pics taken. Kids loved it - so did adults!

My son also went for the Jake and The Neverland Pirate package but we were told they were not currently offering it but he would be back once it was reworked (there was some kind of copyright issue with it). My son picked Captain Hook instead. The person who did his makeup played the part of a pirate very well... More

I have a 3.5 year old who is obsessed with Jake and the Neverland pirates. We booked our disney vacation somewhat last minute and had 3 weeks to plan. I read online that the pirates league offered a Jake Experience so I NEEDED to book it for my son. I called 2 weeks ago to book the experience was told... More

My boys had a blast getting to become real pirates! We brought pirate costumes from home and just had their faces painted and picked up some gear. I was able to get appointment times together and a few hours before the Halloween Party started so that they were ready and in costume.

I was disappointed because after getting made up we were told we would be in the third group to go in the secret room and this would take an hour. We had lunch reservations and of course I did not want to sit on a crate for an hour waiting so we a paid and left and were given fast... More

We did this experience for the first time with my 6 year old daughter and 8 year old son and they absolutely loved it! My son was a pirate while my daughter did the mermaid makeover. It was well worth the money and we will definitely do it again! You can see my full review and pictures on my blog:... More
