We live in Orlando and saw a Groupon for Wide Open Orlando back in June and although I was a litte skeptical , I purchased it along with my two sisters and their boyfriends. We set up a time to go in July and the 6 of us went up to Ocala for the day. That day ended up not going so well because it poured rain from the second we got there. The track was totally muddy and Steve and Mark from Wide Open decided it was too dangerous to let us take the cars out in the mud, so we rescheduled for September and they were so generous and gave us an extra 2 laps and threw in the video for free since we got rained out (which they did not have to do at all). So, in September, we went back again and had a total BLAST!! The course is so much fun. I never thought we would have the opportunity to drive cars like that on that crazy of terrain. There are hills and curves, and jumps, it was ridiculous! I didn't drive, my husband did, so i was only the passenger and I had that much fun!!! The location where the track is is so beautiful. There is a spring fed lake that you can swim in and gorgeous hills and rocks everywhere. I honestly did not feel like i was still in Florida! Some tips before you go: Bring a towel and a change of clothes- you may not need them, but if it is really hot or muddy, you probably will want to change afterwards. Bring a cooler with drinks/snacks, maybe even lunch. Bring bug spray and sunscreen (it is outside in Florida). If you want to swim in the lake, wear your bathing suits. Other than that, I can't say enough good things about Wide Open Orlando! We will be booking another adventure soon i am sure, it this will be the new attraction we bring all of our friends and family to when they visit us in Orlando!

We did the Baja Experience in Ocala while staying in Orlando last week. This was well worth the 1:15 min drive north...This truly this was a "wow" experience. The track was sooo much fun. Steve was a professional and a thanks goes out to him for making our vacation. If you have any sense of adventure its a must do.
