Review of: Orlando Manatee Encounters
Gina was an awesome guide and we would definitely recommend her and Manatee Encounters. Her obvious love of nature and knowledge of the area made the tour amazing. She found three groups of manatees and several alligators. Her knowledge of the area made this a learning experience and definitely has us wanting a return trip in the peak manatee season. To top it off, Gina gave us a great recommendation for lunch - The Swamp House. We never would have found this place if not for Gina.…

Review of: Wekiva River Guided Kayak Tour
Definitely a great choice for an outdoor adventure. I’m a local and had family in town. I wanted something very Floridian but didn’t trust myself to do a solo kayaking adventure worth anything so I tried the tour company. Best. Idea. Ever. Tour guide, Jimi, was fantastic. Very informative about local flora and fauna. Very patient with slow kayakers too! All four of us had a superb experience! Would definitely recommend them to all friends, family, and random people in the street!!!…

Review of: Wekiva River Guided Kayak Tour
A much needed day off from the theme parks. My wife, 14yr old son and I accessed the river at Katie’s Landing along with Bill our tour guide. For the next 10 miles we were treated to an array of different wildlife, flora and fauna including alligators, turtles, deer, Blue Herons, Ospreys, woodpeckers and many more. No manatees at this time of year (or bears) were seen but this didn’t detract from this wonderful experience. Bill lead the way and stopped each time he came across something of interest. The last 2 miles were on St John’s River which may be a struggle for the less experienced but Bill offered a tow rope to the less able kayakers.…

We did a guided tour with Gina to Wekiva Falls. She was great and very knowledgeable. We are new to kayaking and the trip was the perfect distance for us (we had 3 adults and 2- 13 yr olds). Would recommend this to anyone interested in seeing a really pretty part of the Wekiva.

This was our second bioluminescence paddle with this company. We enjoyed the first one so much, that we decided to take my Brother and SIL, while they were visiting from PGH. My husband and I have been kayaking for about 15 years here in FL, and although we enjoyed this trip, it was quite different than the first on aprox 5 years ago. The put-in is right off of #528WB by the lock, and you paddle around in the east side of the lagoon. There’s a lot of ambient light, and a fair amount of boats that are moored. This was the first time that we experienced an instructional session by a guide. It was helpful to those that hadn’t paddled before, but did take about 30 minutes or so. It was good for beginners. The bioluminescence was fairly good once we got to the little island where floated a bit , and played around activating the algae. Our guide,Guy, was very talkative and shared a lot of information about the Lagoon, and it’s inhabitants. I must admit that our two bio experiences were completely different, and we enjoyed our first one more than this. Previously, the trip put-in was at Kelly Park, paddling under #528, and then west back the canal. It was much darker, and there was more sea life there as opposed to the open lagoon. Our guests really enjoyed the trip, as it was their first time experiencing the bio. That said, anytime you can get out on the water, on a beautiful night, and paddle is still a great time!…
