What a Fantastic Play

We went to the Opening Night of West Side Story and could not have been more pleased. All seats in this small theater have great views and, even sitting in Row K, we felt like we were right in the action on the stage. Before the play started, we attended a very interesting talk led by the Music Director, the... More

This is such a cool little gem in the city, and a fantastic place to see live theater. We make a habit of visiting every year around Christmas to check out their Christmas related offerings and they are top notch. The cozy theater basically offers everyone in the house the opportunity to see the show from within ten rows of... More

Not a bad seat in the house! The stage is on the floor with the seats rising upwards so you can see the stage from any seat. The plays are performed well, the sets and costumes are made professionally and we love visiting this theater several times a year.

The first year I went to Orlando Shakes, as it is lovingly called, I saw Nicholas Nickolby, & 2 other plays. They were presented in musical style and were quite fun and interactive for the audience. I have also seen Taming of the Shrew & Les Mis for the next season. I have never had a bad seat, always enjoy... More

I went to see Pericles and The Tempest, both were incredible. For a small theater you don't expect such a great production value. The acting, sets, and music are topnotch. I wish I had discovered this theater prior to this season. The small main theater means all seats have great views. The staff is very nice. Parking is the only... More

Orlando Shakespeare Theater provides amazingly intimate theater experiences for young and old alike. With their 3 Children's Series shows and 7 Signatures Series productions - all of them are of awesome quality. Anywhere from Les Miserables, to Henry V, to James and the Giant Peach, to A Christmas Carol. They produce in a 324 seat theater and a 116 seat... More

We saw the Tempest here and it was great. The costuming, the set, the acting - all superb. The snack bar is underwhelming; fill up before you get here. Only bottled beers & wine and some candy bars, hummus cups and chips. Ticketing online was super easy and so was picking the tickets up at will-call. The gift shop is... More

This was our second visit to the Orlando Shakespeare Theater. Three years ago we saw Othello and this year we were able to see Pericles. Once again we were not disappointed! You see a Broadway quality production. We go online and order our tickets in advance. They are at the will call window when we arrive. If we lived in... More

I have been going to performances here for over ten years and I have not seen one play that I was disappointed in. The plays are well directed and the Broadway quality of the actors with out the high price makes it a real value. This is not to overlook the stage designs and the friendly staff. If you have... Saw Peter and the Starcatcher. Booked tickets well in advance online. Had no idea in advance what the show was like. The theatre building is fantastic. Lots of free parking (we had no trouble getting a spot since there was not much on when we visited). The design of the theatre is amazing ... there is absolutely no bad seat.... More
