The social is an awesome small venue. I've been to maybe 5 shows there, and really loved each experience. It feels very intimate, the sound is great, and it has kind of an indie flair. Full bar, photo booth, perfect location set right in downtown Orlando near bars & restaurants. Because it is small, some shows can sell out, so I recommend buying tickets in advance if possible. However, I've never had a problem with it personally.. when it did sell out, we found someone in line who had purchased too many and was willing to sell to us at buying price. Definitely recommend seeing any shows here! **Note that many of the shows here, once you enter the venue, you cannot exit & return.

Small bar in Downtown Orlando that holds events and small concerts. No upfront parking, you have to park in a parking garage around the corner which costs money. Went to The Social for the first time in August 2016. The Social was hosting a Jacob Whitesides concert there that I brought my daughter and four of her friends to. The inside is small but was great cause we were so close to the stage to see the performers. Place has plenty of security and they mark all under aged people so that no alcohol can be served to them if you happen to go up to the bar. Had a real good time and would return for another event in the future.

The place is small but very nice, it's nice because you get up close to the artists who are performing, also even the opening acts are good to watch, I've been there twice and plan on going back... It's also a bar for those who like to drink...

We had the chance to go there last night as The Social was one of the venue hosting the yearly Best of Orlando Weekly. The bartenders were very quick and very nice. The place is a little dark for my taste but still a nice atmosphere inside. We'll be back again.

This venue is perfect for small shows! It is in a cool little area of Orlando, be prepared to pay for parking, but there are plenty of garages for $5. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The venue is small, long bar on one wall with the stage on the other wall. There is a section in front of the stage that is lower than the raised area near the bar which makes viewing that stage easier. Bartenders were friendly and prompt , had no trouble paying foe tickets at the door. They do use a metal detector before you enter. It is a small venue so it gets pretty warm, but not unbearable.

My wife and I went to see my favorite band on Friday night, Less Than Jake. I've seen LTJ there a couple times and it's actually always been a great sound quality. No different this time. The concert was phenomenal and LTJ put on a great show.

Couple minor issues. The drinks here are not the cheapest. I don't mind paying for alcohol, but I did have a bit of shock when I saw my bill.

The bigger issue was the heat. The band pointed it out a few times on stage because it was their second night in a row there. They said how they thought it was hotter on Friday than Thursday. Luckily, I think we actually found a cooler spot towards the back of the bar. LTJ came on at 10, and by 10:30 my wife had to go outside and stay out there the rest of the show. It didn't bother me as much, but she said people were pouring out throughout the show just absolutely drenched.

I would go back here if a band I really like is playing or I know there wont be a packed house. If it weren't for that I think I would pass.

I've been here quite a few times in my life. I don't remember ever being disappointed. You have a good view of the performers and if you get drinks the hour of the opening, its really cheap.

We have now been to both The Social and The Beachum for concerts, and we all keep saying that the venues (though they differ) are so GREAT for enjoying concerts. The smaller venue, The Social, is where we enjoyed some indie alternative bands, and we felt as if we could shake their hand while we watched each band perform.

Being able to see the bands that close, connect with the band members in such close proximity, with a venue that has hospitable security staff AND friendly bartenders is something special to me as a parent of a teen daughter who wishes to experience concerts like these.

Great experience for both the young and older concert-goer.

If a band you love is there then go. Which is what I did. I know now to go to another venue if the musician is at another local venue. WHY? The staff is awful & RUDE. The security guards were crude right off the bat. Then the bartenders were so rude except one guy. All the women bartenders had a nasty attitude. I found a bug in my drink after drinking some of it and I told the bartender who poured it and she said "well you have already drank some of it" I was like yeah until I found this gross bug. She finally poured me another and gave me a go to hell look. My friend started a tab with her credit card. When she checked out the bill was over $70 for one person. I demanded an itemized bill and it was incorrect. They charged $8.50 per shot. And there were some charges she had no idea what they were for. They do not tell you the prices. You must ask! Pay with Cash! The venue was ok as far as the sound. But unless a band I love is only going to The Social. I will never go back. Plus NO where to sit. You must stand for 5 hours.

An intimate room stage on one wall, bar along the other, and on a good night there are lot's of people rockin' out in the middle...I was practically standing on the stage for one of my favorite bands! Friendly bartenders, stiff drinks, and a chance to find out what the Orlando music scene has to offer without being sanitized.
