Something for Everyone
Jun 2021
We stayed at Hilton Palace, mere steps from Disney Springs and spent our downtime here. You could spend days and not see it all! Use the map and coupon book issued by partner hotels - it comes in handy.
Plan ahead if you want to hit one of the big dining attractions like Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex, House of Blues, Boathouse. There are so. many. options. Make reservations through your Disney app at least a month in advance or prepare to wait or be turned away at the door. There are tons of casual and quick service options. But lines are long and you'll be stuck with best available instead of first choice if you go at typical meal times. While dining is typically busy, there are always a lot of grab-and-go stands for snacks and drinks for under 10 bucks.

You can find souvenirs at all price points. $5 can coolers or magnets, candy at Goofy's, clothing or home decor $20 or less. Of course the Disney and the upscale stores are a premium, but if you're a shopper you'll have fun finding the scores! If you miss grabbing an item at the park like Mickey ears or lightsabers, chances are you'll find it at one of the themed shops at Disney Springs.

If you're not a shopper, you'll find this touristy, expensive and likely overwhelming. Take in the balloon ride, movie or attraction, grab a cocktail, walk along the Springs, catch the free live entertainment, people watch. The weather's usually great at night, and you can still find fun here.

Highly recommend as port of your Disney experience!

Wait....wait some more

Another better than average but not exactly very good review.
The 1st night we headed down to DS was to grab some dessert. No one warned us what an absolute mess DS right now bc of Covid and honestly bc DS is outside it really didn’t cross our minds that DS would be such a mess.
Night 1- pull up and there’s a huge line to get into the parking garage. My husband decides he doesn’t want ice cream so kids and I try and hop out of the car while he parks and waits. You can’t do that. We had opened our car doors to hop and a cop? security guard? immediately started yelling at us to get back in our vehicle and park in the garage. Fine. In the green garage the only way to enter is on the 2nd floor bc everyone has to go through security. Fine. We get through security and into DS and it was shoulder to shoulder and lines everywhere. The line for ice cream was over an hour and that was to simply place your order! That didn’t include the time waiting for them to make your order. We immediately walked back to our car and left.
The 2nd visit we had a reservation at Rainforest Cafe. This was during the week around 7:15 and we thought 40 mins to park and get in would be sufficient. At 7 we realized we may not make the reservation time bc we were still sitting in line to get into the green garage. By the time we parked, got through security and walked over for our reservation it was 7:30. We did call and let them know we were in line for the garage and while they seemed accommodating on the phone- not so much when we checked in-different review! After dinner we did walk around a bit and the crowd had thinned out since it was about 9:15 or so. That’s also when we learned that DS closes at 10pm during the week- fine but I honestly assumed they would have longer hours during the summer.
3rd visit and last of our trip we got down to DS around 2, had Ghiradellli’s for lunch-yep and no shame- walked around, shopped but of course it poured on us so we were drenched at the end of our 3rd visit.
We love DS and going and shopping and eating but until Covid calms down and they stop making everyone stand in line for every store/restaurant it may be best to skip it.

Overpriced and Not Worth all the Hassle
Jun 2021 • Friends
Overcrowded and overpriced. Don’t mind spending money when it’s worth it, but Dinner at The Edison was ridiculously overpriced and service not good (wait staff unfriendly). To top it off, it took well over an hour just to get out of the parking garage…on a Sunday night! Not ok…my time is way more valuable than that. Disney needs to get it together!

Simply put: Tourist Trap
Jun 2021
Not a fan as it's always crowded and overpriced. This visit, due to an invitation from my brother, we weren't allowed to park in the closest garage but directed to the orange area, which was all the way across the facility. Made for a long meandering walk. We noticed the 3-hour line for the bakery. Who would wait 3 hours for a 1/2 pound cookie? Not us, that's for sure. We find the restaurants average at best and overpriced. Serice can be slack as everyone is a tourist and chances are, won't be back so who cares if service slips once in a while.
We have so many things to do in the central part of the state and I always recommend spending less time at the parks and explore what Florida has to offer.

Could not enter stores without a mask
May 2021 • Couples
Even though I was fully vaccinated we were kicked out of three stores for not wearing a mask. There was no warning before going in that we would be required to wear a mask in every store and I even went into Free people store no one was in there and they still kicked me out, that was not a pleasant experience, nice place to walk around but I won't ever go back.

Sure has grown
Apr 2021
It has been only 6 years since I was here last, but this place sure has grown. I needed a map to find my way around.

There are many stores to choose from if you are in a shopping mood.......can I say, too many to choose from. Many, many restaurants to choose from, how can one decide. There are also entertainment venues, hopefully they will be opening up soon. I have read that on Friday and Saturday evening/night Disney Springs is very busy especially the bars.

Pretty much everything but the stores and restaurants in Disney Springs was still closed (late May, 2021). No shows, attractions, etc. Shopped, ate, left. Masks are still required inside all stores.

Evening Outing
Dec 2020
Disney Springs is a nice place to go for an evening outing. Whether you are at Disney or in the area for something else, you will find something here. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. While this is the case, it’s a very expensive place so be aware of that!
