There is something for most people, but it is a lot of walking. I recommend that you come prepared for that if you have a hard time standing/walking or if you have a smaller child who is just big enough to not go into a stroller.
Use sunscreen regardless of the time of year. It is easy to get a sunburn while out walking around. Bring a water bottle and small snacks for the littles.
Getting there is way but traffic is a nightmare. Parking is garage so it’s not to hard to find. Restaurants can book months in advance like T-Rex, it can be pretty hard to get in. Prepare to wait for restaurants. Lines in retail stores can be long but generally move quickly.
Please be kind. People travel to this area from all around the globe and everyone is just out and about to enjoy their day. I recommend that you wear breathable clothes and shoes make to walk in, it is not a fashion runway.

Vibrant atmosphere, lots of food and shopping variety and choices, boat ride available on the lake, parking is free. We enjoy going over now and then and eating, walking around, and doing a little shopping and people-watching.
We went at Thanksgiving this time and it was very crowded, difficult in some places to get around, although we were able to get a same-day reservation for dinner. Food prices have gotten very expensive though............we spent about $17 or $18 each for a small sundae at one ice cream shop there. We also hadn't planned to spend so much time there but were unable to ride the gondolas around (original plan). We were told that security at all of the Disney resorts would not allow us to drive in or look around/park at any resorts unless we were staying overnight or had a dining reservation. That was disappointing............... we had to go to Disney Springs instead, as it was the only place we could get into on Disney property at that point.

If you like shopping and shopping Disney, it's the right place for you! It was very crowded but plenty of parking. We were fortunate to make reservations at the 3 restaurants we wanted to eat at, otherwise the wait could have been up to an hour or longer. Entertainment was mostly at night, which the crowds were even larger! And weather can play a large part in the festivities. Thanks you Disney Springs for making our birthday celebration a success!

Years ago you would go to WDW and find great food and fun. The people that worked their were pleasant always respectful.
We visit every year and visit a few areas 2-5 times during our stay.
We went the movie theatre and the people were great
Hence the average rating we walked the area visit some stores then went to an Italian restaurant
They open at 3:30, it was 3:50. They said they opens at 4, do you have a reservation? I looked around puzzled and said no we do not. She asked to take our name it would be a few minutes. There was no one around, weird she made us a reservation anyway we hung around until 4:10 then left and decided to eat near our home We had moved into the area a few months ago
We then went for a glass of wine thinking well maybe grab an appetizer before dinner. The bartender kind of tossed the wine menu At us, and said I’ll be right back
The place was had customers, however not like it’s the middle of prime season
I felt this was very rude
To continue the pricing for anything just doesn’t match the service anymore
$18 lb for bulk M&M’s at the store, $18 margarita’s at the theatre, $20 glass of wine, $30 appetizers
It’s not the cost as much as the service to match the pricing
Along with woke view points I guess we have had a lifetime of a variety of experiences here at Disney the perceived value is no longer valid

This area needs to be made accessible to those arriving by taxi. If you do not have your own car, please do not visit here. We were dropped a 20 minute walk from the restaurant we had booked and had to walk 20 mins to find the nearest taxi rank with no signposting anywhere and 1 set of incorrect directions.
We cancelled our 2nd night going to a restaurant here because the experience was so so poor. Disney seem to be actively discouraging anyone without a car (presumably they make money from parking fees) and it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Disney springs is a nice place to wander around but it’s not cheap. Well at least parking is free.
We always visit Earl of sandwich for lunch, their Montegue is fab.
The main Disney store is a bit of a let down, they don’t stock the range of toys, tee shirts… well generally everything they used too and what they do have looks cheap but is over priced. You can probably buy most of the merchandise either at the outlets or online, far cheaper.
The pin trader shop has also lost a lot of stock, they used to have pins for every character and movie, but not any longer. I won’t be surprised if they get ride of this shop and the pin trading altogether.
Ghirardelli’s is also a must for chocolate fans.
The Lego shop, you had to queue for entry… so we didn’t, I don’t mind having a look at their displays but not really into Lego that much to queue for 20 - 30 mins.
There are plenty of restaurants like rainforest cafe and the T- Rex restaurant are great for the kids but again is expensive for a family.
Overall a nice place to spend an afternoon or an evening away from the parks.

We were here to eat, which is what the review is based on. That and the general experience. The place was overcrowded and overrated. There was no restaurant available to eat. We would stand in line for about ten minutes only to be told that the restaurant had stopped accepting reservations for the night. This was starting at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday evening. Even open bar booths were closed for the evening. We have been here in the past (pre-Covid) and can’t remember it being this bad. We remember just chancing upon the Rainforest Cafe and walking in. We had a table in under a half hour. Something had to have changed in the years gone by. Not sure who or what to blame for this hugely disappointing experience, but someone’s gotta go down. Let’s make it Disney’s fault. And Covid.

We have been to disney springs loads of times and have always enjoyed it, this time it was so packed with people you could hardly move in the shops, people with pushchairs and mobility scooters were having a nightmare to try and get through the people that were just stood in the way everywhere. This is the final straw in the disney coffin for us, it's far too overcrowded and over priced now at disney. We will not visit there again.

Over crowded . Very expensive mediocre food
We ate ate crafted Italian . Won’t be back !
When we research where to eat we did not know it would lead us to Disney Springs nothing on the website for the restaurant said it was in Disney Springs and huge pain to park lines to get in lines to leave don’t do it run for the hills.

Pretty nice collection of stores, shops, restaurants and easy to get to. I would recommend getting there early as it gets like Disney Parks as far as people go. When we went mid day it was a zoo, but early (at/just after opening) it was very easy to get around and shop. The Lego Store is a cool place and the Disney store is a decent one stop shop for many of the items you will find in the parks (although not everything in the parks is there as I was originally led to believe). There is also occasional live entertainment (we watched a local dance troop perform). All in all it is a good place to visit (early) on a day off from the parks.

You can!
Hello all, First off, is there a restaurant/bar within Disney Springs that is great for watching sports? I'm looking for a place for my husband to watch the Michigan/Ohio State game tomorrow afternoon while my daughter and I shop.
Next question, should we make reservations ahead of time for restaurants there?

There are numerous restaurants on site. Whether on not they view sports, I have no idea. Reservations are best to make.

Is Disney Springs opened on Christmas Day? Are all restaurants opened?
RainbowNana

I would imagine they would be open, since holiday time is very busy for them. However, I would take the time to phone ahead and ask. As far as the restaurants go, also, it's best to ask ahead of time as on different days, different restaurants are open. Sorry this isn't more specific. Be aware that ear loop masks are required and nothing else will be accepted. You will be screened before entering.
