Growing up in Singapore gave me a real love of botanical gardens and no matter where I am in the world I tend to seek them out. The Leu Gardens is a nice NON DISNEY RELATED place in Orlando which treated me and a colleague to a relaxing afternoon walk. If you can, take a tour of the Leu house.... More

This is a nice stroll through the trees and plants native to Florida. Paved walkways intertwine with views of a lake and running stream. Each plant is labeled with its name. It is close to the museum district and College Park. Admission is charged, but is free the first Monday of the month.

This is a great place to go for adults who want to avoid the theme parks or who have already seen enough of them. There is a 30 minute guided tour of the house on the grounds, with interesting historical insights. The gardens are extensive and well maintained. It's worth a couple of hours on a nice day.

Orlando's botonical garden is a relatively small compared to others found in larger cities. I would only consider going during the cooler months since the summer heat can sap your energy quickly. Luckily most of the trails are shaded by tree cover. The entrance is located in an attractive and rather stately building with restrooms and a small gift shop.... More

I've been to a number of functions hosted at Leu Gardens, from weddings to business luncheons to the film showings on date nights, and I'm always impressed with how pretty the grounds are, even in the height of summer when everything around Florida seems dead and brown. I would recommend coming in the cooler months of winter, as the grounds... More

I am biased because I got married here, but Leu Gardens is the most beautiful garden in Orlando. An excellent place to spend an afternoon exploring with your family or a date. Leu Gardens also has "date night" movies in the fall and winter which is a fun idea.

Enjoyed a November afternoon here. Gardens are well laid out with clear pathways and loads of benches placed throughout. Something is always in bloom year round and the variety of gardens means there is lots to explore. This is a fantastic way to spend 2-3 hours. The paths are easy to walk and well paved for anyone with limited mobility.... More

Great place to let the kids RUN, can't hurt anything just run! Bring some snacks and relax. I wish they held more events for families...

The garden was very nice with large trees covering most of the trails so it's not so onerous with the heat. The trails are well marked. The garden is fairly large so you can spend as much or as little time as desired. We were very impressed.

Well kept botanical garden. You can spend pleanty of time if you have the interest (reading signs on the plants etc) or just enjoy walking around and inhale the fresh nature. I was there on a "Free Entrance Monday", so it was crowded with school kids who might have been more happy being out of school than visiting a graden.... More
