50 acre botanical garden in Orlando. I was pleasantly surprised that the garden was lush and kept us protected from the heat. Areas are dedicated to Palms, Camelias, Bamboo, Tropical plants. Beautiful vistas along Lake Rowena. Used for weddings. Though still beautiful in October, earlier in the year may be a better time to visit.

50 acres of beautiful botanical gardens, even in October. The gardens were donated to the city of Orlando in 1961. The self guided walk in the gardens was so enjoyable on a fall day. So peaceful with plenty of seating along the way for reflection. Definitely a great way to spend an afternoon away from Disney. (No offense Mickey!) We... More

Absolutely beautiful!! First you pay at the gift shop and conference center and get your maps. The tour is self guided and the map shows the different trail options. The trails are paved and wind through various lovely kinds of gardens from roses to bog gardens. There is also a historic house (separate tour fee). Highly recommend! It is very... More

This is a beautiful botanical garden divided into sections like the white garden, the butterfly garden, bamboo, ferns, the idea garden... it goes on and on. A beautiful spot to roam in the heat of a Florida day, with places to sit and reflect.

Attractive, interesting gardens plus a tour of a historic home. CONS: Can't bring in food for a picnic, mosquitoes a plenty when we visited - made my youngest hate it. Some difficulty getting around due to a path blocked by a downed tree,

Our friends chose this place for their wedding and it was gorgeous! The wedding took place under a huge oak tree on the lawn. It was quite hot but I'd suggest choosing a date where the temperatures are cooler. The inside, reception area was wonderful, staff were highly attentive and accommodating. We loved it.

They seem to recommend most people to spend 1-2 hours here. I recommend you wear a hat, bring a bottle of water, cover yourself in sunscreen and spend 3-4 hours here! It's beautiful, peaceful and charming. I could have spent even more time in the butterfly garden very happily. The butterfly garden is just absolutely mindblowingly lovely - huge tropical... More

Really wish I could see the gardens when the camellias bloom, but it was very attractive even in the "down time" of late summer. Property is well maintained; the Leu House is interesting and tour guides were informative, most pleasant. Plus it is air-conditioned (hot day when we visited!).
