We had been here 9 years ago in winter and decided to try it on this visit. Satnav didn’t take us the main entrance which is what happened last time! It’s $15 to get in and be warned there are no picnic facilities or cafe, only vending machines. There is a shop which was shut at 1pm when we left.
Beautiful tropical gardens some well established trees and massive bamboo plants. The rose garden was a little lack lustre and usually rose gardens are fragrant this one wasn’t.
There is a historical house and they do tours, be warned you need to be prompt! Well that’s what we were told by the disgruntled guide when 6 people arrived at 12.33 for the 12.30 tour. It took some persuading for Nicole to let us join the tour and all 6 agreed that they would rather miss the 6 minutes at the start of the tour than miss the tour altogether. So the 6 of us joined the already started tour of 2 people. It was really interesting particularly seeing how the house had grown over the years. The rooms were beautifully renovated and it was great to see the lovely china and glassware. Loved the old bathrooms and kitchen with old utensils. Glad we did the tour.

The entrance is located at the intersection of Corrine Dr and N Forest Ave. The park takes up 50 acres on the south side of Lake Rowena. There are two parking lots. One is near to the main building and one is just to the south. Together they can hold about 150 vehicles. The entry is through the main building and costs about $15/person. The gardens are used for events. The day that we visited, there was a wedding event set up outside the house on the south of the grounds and the reception was set for the main building. It seemed a perfect place for it. The gardens are self-guided and have lots of paths to follow. Recently, they have made a “dragon” challenge treasure hunt that is a lot of fun. People have to find clues and decrypt the message that leads you to the treasure. The gardens have large dragons and night-time lighting for these very large creatures. The gardens are beautiful and have many paths and descriptions of the many plants around the grounds. Overall, this is a wonderful set of gardens that is very pleasant to walk through.

What a beautiful place to spend hours within the lovely landscapes of a 50 acre garden. I started with a tour of the Leu house. The docent named Anita gave a splendid tour of the historic home. Then, I enjoyed the magnificent gardens. The plants are all labeled, and there are many benches to rest on. This is great place, and Orlando needs to promote it more. Visitor experience could only be enhanced with a small cafe with a limited menu. Adult admission is $10 until 31 December 2021 when it increases to $12. Free parking.

What a wonderful place to spend a few hours going through magnificent gardens! You can find such a wide variety of plants and trees here that it can be a learning experience for all travelers. The trees and plants are labeled with both their common and scientific names. There are peaceful trails to follow and places to sit and contemplate nature.
For a few months, the garden features the "Fairy Doors" exhibit. Both children and adults can use a map to find the 20 hidden doors spaced around the gardens. I have seen both young children and adults greatly enjoying this challenge. At the same time, it provides an excellent opportunity to introduce children to the wonders of nature.
In addition, you can also spend a half an hour receiving a tour of the historic home on the premises. There you can see some amazing antiques, and hear more about the history of the gardens.

If I could rate zero stars I would. We have been in contact with this location regarding holding our wedding ceremony here for about a month. We were told they do not book until a year in advance. (For example, we were wanting to book for March 2022, but were told no one was allowed to book for anything that month until March 1st, 2021) We even reached out again the week prior to ensure we had all required information to book. On March 1st, we called the moment the clock said 8 am, per their email. It turns out they had a wedding reschedule from last year, and it was scheduled for our date. Now, I am not upset they allowed a wedding from last year to reschedule - that's absolutely the right thing to do. However, they had several opportunities to tell us that due to extenuating circumstances there was one (later we found out several) dates unavailable. We now lost a month of looking into other venues because we were preparing for the gardens. Red flags were raised when we went to go see the venue and despite paying to get in, there was not a soul to walk with us to the different sites and discuss how they handle anything logistically. After speaking with our other selected vendors, we're now learning this is common practice and several vendors prefer not to work with them due to their unorganized manner and awful attitudes.
Brides and grooms to be, be cautious. The grounds are beautiful, but this venue lacks even the most basic of communication skills. A day as expensive and important as your wedding deserves much better.

If you are looking for something different vs theme park then you might want to think about visiting the Harry P. Leu Gardens. Located in quiet section of northern Orlando. Pleasant even on hot days because much of the walking is done under a canopy of tall trees. We particularly enjoyed the butterfly and arid gardens. There are an abundance of birds and plenty of turtles to see at the lake Rowena overlook. A walk down the tropical stream garden path is very calming with the sound of running water and even a small waterfall. You can spend 1 hour or 5 hours there is plenty to see and experience. The price of admission won’t break the bank $10 adult and 5$ for children.

This is a gem in bustling Orlando. Step out of the hustle and bustle that is the Orlando area. Leu Gardens offers a retreat and peaceful environment. The gardens are well appointed and well maintained. I was surprised how many people that this location draws but even though the parking lot was full, the paths were not overwhelmed in the gardens. The Dragon themed scavenger hunt was well themed and fun to follow. We would have liked to see the evening show that was being offered but our availability was during the day. Seemed like it would be a good time. Appreciated that the plants were labelled so that it was clear what each plant was. This is a great destination especially if you are looking to get away from the themme park madness. Don't miss the Leu House tour. hopefully they will get more volunteers so that they can reopen the upstairs.

If you want to spend some time off the beaten path in Orlando this is the place to visit. The grounds are well kept. Pathways are easily maneuverable and you can go at your own pace. Bathrooms are available and clean. Kids may find this boring depending on their personality.
Loved the butterfly garden which is completely outdoors, attracting pollinators naturally! The rose garden smelled amazing. Bring a bottle of water and maybe a fan too. It is very humid in Orlando, especially in the warmer months, which limited the time we spent there. If it were less humid I could have spent a couple of hours just walking and enjoying the scenery. Relax and escape the usual tourist activities at Leu Gardens.

We enjoyed 3 hours leisurely walking around the grounds. Nice wide cement pathways take you through each area. Signage is well situated directing you to the various areas. Plants and flowers have signs throughout the gardens letting you know what your looking at. The home museum was informative with the guides explaining the past owners and a summary of their life. There is plenty of benches to sit and take a break if needed. They hold various events so check their schedule to see if you are interested in attending one of them.
Worth a visit.

Beautiful gardens with so many different areas to explore. Especially love the butterfly garden. The plants are well-labeled. Most of the garden areas are handicapped accessible with paved pathways. Food trucks offer drinks and snacks, and bathrooms are available in the main building. The only disappointment was their lovely gift shop was closed as the building is undergoing renovations.

I do believe so. I remember seeing at least one ramp at the building and the walkways are well maintained.
I purchased a ticket to join the family and did not receive confirmation in the email. how do I resolve this since it was deducted from my account?

The overall property is 40 acres +. However, you can walk to various locations without covering all of the grounds. Well worth the visit. Just put on your walking shoes and take your time.
