"Disney's BoardWalk area contains more than 90,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. It encompasses Crescent Lake and is ""a village on the water"" near many Disney Resort hotels in Walt Disney World Resort. This quarter-mile entertainment, dining and shopping area is also conveniently close to 2 Disney Theme Parks. With sherbet-colored building facades, striped awnings, rising columns and archways, Disney's BoardWalk is designed after the boardwalks that were famous during the turn of the 20th century along such coastal cities as Coney Island, New York and Atlantic City, New Jersey.Stroll along Disney's BoardWalk during the day to explore the unusual shops and restaurants. When the sun cools down, the nightlife heats up with street performers, food vendors, midway games and lots of live entertainment.

We always make a point of visiting the Boardwalk when we are in Florida, we just love walking round the lake and looking in the other hotels then stopping for a coffee and cake from the bakery. If you get a chance I would recommend a visit.

There are a lot of bars and restaurants in this area surrounding a lake. I prefer to walking around here. You will be able to see the fireworks from the Disney theme park sitting on a deck next to the lake, and avoid the crowds. The scene is peaceful.

Disney's Boardwalk is a more quiet and scaled down version of what Disney does best. A quaint seaside village feel in décor and atmosphere with fun shops and dining options. The Dueling Piano bar is worth the visit, it is never a let down. The Boardwalk, while family friendly tends to see more couples and adult visitors making is a... More

I say "true" board walk because its made a wood; I only mention this because I recently walked on a "board"walk made of steel - at Virginia Beach. Disney's Boardwalk can be reached by walking through the lobby of Walt Disney World's Boardwalk Hotel, or exiting Epcot Center at the International Gateway of that theme park. It is a relaxing... We have only ever been here whilst visiting friends who were staying at the Boardwalk, but the vibe and feel of the place is everything that you would want on a holiday. It is relaxed yet full of fun and entertainment, with plenty of places to eat, drink and even catch up with your favourite sports team.

Lots of shops and eateries. Fun place to spend the afternoon. My kids and i took a boat ride and it was fun to see the boardwalk from the water.

Crowds, lines lines lines. Don't bother trying to get into restaurants unless you have a reservations. Who know you want to eat at 5 pm six months in advance

If you have the money to splurge I would suggest Board Walk Inn. Back track to the front desk clerk that checked us in. He was RUDE! He profiled us just because we were a young brown looking couple. He probably didn't think we could afford the place. The room is bigger than most hotels and has a pull out... More
