About
"Disney's BoardWalk area contains more than 90,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. It encompasses Crescent Lake and is ""a village on the water"" near many Disney Resort hotels in Walt Disney World Resort. This quarter-mile entertainment, dining and shopping area is also conveniently close to 2 Disney Theme Parks. With sherbet-colored building facades, striped awnings, rising columns and archways, Disney's BoardWalk is designed after the boardwalks that were famous during the turn of the 20th century along such coastal cities as Coney Island, New York and Atlantic City, New Jersey.Stroll along Disney's BoardWalk during the day to explore the unusual shops and restaurants. When the sun cools down, the nightlife heats up with street performers, food vendors, midway games and lots of live entertainment.

It is free, and you can have a little taste of Disney. There are good music attractions at night where you can dance and have some fun. You can rent a little cart to pedal and ride around the area. You can even see the fireworks, but it's not a good point of view if I can say. The food can be a bit pricy, and you might need to line up a long time to get a chance to snack something.
Positive: it is free
Negative: Universal City Walk or Disney Springs has more attractions.

An overall pleasant stay, but I think I've gotten spoiled staying at other Disney properties. There were lots of little details that made this property less than the excellent experience I've come to expect when paying to stay at a Disney resort.

Positives: great location to get to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. We loved taking the boat to these parks, but also nice to have the options to walk or bus. The bus system to get to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom was also really convenient. One of our little ones had a small accident, and the staff were amazing and gave us Band aids for free. Marlene at the front desk was also incredibly nice and helpful during check in. The shower pressure in the bathroom was really strong, so that was nice.

Negatives: Not much Disney in the theming at this hotel (not many hidden Mickeys). The minifridge in the room turned everything into blocks of ice. There was no microwave in the room or available to the public anywhere on the property, so don't bother with leftovers that need to be heated up. When we called the front desk, they said we could bring food to the cafe to be heated up, but the cafe folks looked at us like we were crazy. There's very little that you can access at this hotel without going outside, so if there's any rain, be prepared to get wet or hunker down in your room. I love having a balcony, but the awning over the balcony is smaller than the actual balcony, so it gets drenched and is not really usable when it rains. Finally, there is only one refillable drink location, so while this saved us money overall, it was not very convenient, and was not available 24 hours - when the cafe closed, the refill station become unavailable as well.

The negatives listed above were minor and detracted very little from our overall happy Disney vacation, but sharing them for your and Disney's information.

If your looking for a good dance spot and a fun time go to Atlantic dance hall. Do not go to jelly rolls! Keep on walking right past it, and Atlantic dance hall is right in front of you! No cover to get in at night. Jelly rolls charges an arm and a leg as a cover charge and is always crowded with overdressed middle aged couples. The Dance Hall music was great and has a big screen projector in the back playing the music videos to all the songs played. It was a great time and great place to go once your done at the espn bar across the way.

Our stay was June 20 through July 2, 2021. We took the Disney Bus from MCO to the door. Pretty buildings and well kept grounds. Check in was seamless and we went right to our room. Room was wonderful. Next time we will get a room with a king sized bed. Coffee maker, microwave, paper plates, dorm sized fridge were in the galley kitchen. Hotel Staff was outstanding and attentive. Continental breakfast is available in lobby in morning. For breakfast we went to the Boardwalk Bakery or Trattoria la Forno, both on the Boardwalk. The Store on the boardwalk was convenient for a few small items we needed. Plus, before we left we shipped home all our souvenirs - LightSabres, pretty much everything - from the Boardwalk store for $40. You can ship home from there anything purchased at a DisneyWorld facility (there are some exceptions (Mitsukoshi, the Disney florist). Better than packing breakables in luggage. When not in the parks, we enjoyed a great pool with a bar and food. Boardwalk is a ten minute walk to EPCOT, or you can take the shuttle boat from the boardwalk. The boat shuttle is a short ride to Hollywood Studios. We really liked Boardwalk. and plan to stay there on our next visit to DisneyWorld.

We spent the evening at the Disney Boardwalk, and really enjoyed touring the Boardwalk Hotel. The Chandelier in the entry is Amazing! 4 huge gold horse mermaids and 4 flying babies make up this huge chandelier. Everything on the boardwalk is first class!!

This was probably the worst dining experience we have had in our 20 years of coming to Walt Disney World and being Annual Passholders.
The soda was flat, after being asked several times to fill the ketchup container (with no acknowledgement of the issue by staff), to no utensils and no napkins, lackluster attitudes by the workers, to being the second people to order and have it take as long as if we were in a seated restaurant. If there was a way to make sure the Disney folks would see this, we would do that. We will absolutely never recommend this eatery.

My wife and I recently walked the Disney Board Walk while staying in Orlando. It is a short walk from the Epcot entrance. Unfortunately, not much was open yet from the pandemic. We did have drinks and appetizers at one of the restaurants there. We would say this place is very average, particularly since a number of places aren’t open.

Nothing fancy, nothing spectacular, but very nice and quaint. We enjoyed just sitting there and looking at the small Lagoon with boats coming and going. We also enjoyed the ESPN zone, with good food and sports all over the place!

We loved spending the evening at the Boardwalk Resort. You can go and say you want to visit and the security on the gate will let you park for a few hours to explore. Loved the street entertainers and overall atmosphere. Limited views of the fireworks to which was nice.

We stayed at the Beach Club hotel during our time at Disney and on our last day we enjoyed visiting the Boardwalk area. We went around lunch time and despite a beautiful day there were not many people there. I imagine there is more of a crowd at night. We ate lunch at the Bakery and walked through the large retail store. The entire loop around the BoardWalk and by the Yacht and Beach Club hotels is just under a mile so it makes for a great walk. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.
