    The Opportunity of a Lifetime
We had the opportunity to take advantage of an early morning before the park opened tour of Animal Kingdom. The park, before dawn, is quite amazing. The calls of the birds to each other and all the sounds of the animals calling to each other was really beautiful. The walkways are painted with fluorescent paint so the tiniest bit of light cause the pathways to glow. We had an early morning breakfast at Sutilli and then went on Kilimanjaro Safari. The food was excellent and the theming was on point. I highly recommend going on the Safari as early as possible. The line becomes incredibly long. It is 100% worth going on as I’ve never seen so many animals out in the wild. It was the most stunning ride and the highlight of my trip. We followed that up by going on the trail to Gorilla Falls and saw a mother and baby gorilla interacting together. Absolutely amazing! We took the Rafiki train to an area of the park where they give drawing classes and where there is a petting zoo to pet donkeys and goats. It was very it was so much fun to watch young children interact with the animals. This is a very different type of Disney experience, but one I hope to repeat again soon.

Amazing Place that is as Much a Zoo as it is an Amusement Park
Animal Kingdom is awesome and is so much more than just an amusement park. It is also one of the best zoological parks in the country and Disney does a great job of intertwining both. Some of the best rides in all of Disney are here including Avatar Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest. With the exception of DinoLand USA, the theming throughout the park is outstanding. You would think you're on a real savannah in Kenya rather than Central Florida while on Kilimanjaro Safaris. As with all the Disney parks, arrive early 30-40 minutes before rope drop and have a plan. Head to Avatar or Expedition Everest as your first ride followed by Kilimanjaro Safaris and then use Genie + and Lightening Lanes throughout the day. Remember that Expedition Everest has a single rider line that can save you much wait time.

    A great family day out
The last time we visited Animal Kingdom was 2015. 2024 and it was still a great experience. Helpful guest services reps and have the whole parking your car and getting through the entrance gate’s down to a T.

    Don't miss the Avatar simulator
Very good park. Arrive early and rush to the Avatar simulator attraction. Then do other cool attractions. You can usually do everything in one morning. Then you enjoy it and rest in the afternoon. It's a good day to alternate between other parks.

Lots of animals to see, tasty food too!
The safari truck ride was excellent! We were able to view a number of animals and get pictures. We also rode the Yeti coaster, which was the most intense ride I have experienced at a Disney park. The Avatar ride was also a riveting experience!

    So much fun!
Animal Kingdom is such a wonderful park! This was the last Disney World park that we hadn't been to together and we were excited to finally visit it. The park opens and closes earlier than the other parks because of the animals, so we got in early and were able to go on the safari early before it got too hot. Corra, the new baby elephant, was on the tour and she was just the cutest little elephant. The safari was great overall and it was so nice to see all of the animals. The rides are also very fun and we really enjoyed Expedition Everest and the Avatar Flight of Passage in particular. The animal treks were lovely and it was a nice change of pace to basically casually stroll through a zoo versus running from ride to ride. Food and drinks at Animal Kingdom are fantastic and we loved the watermelon lemonade and mango-passioonfruit cheesecake at Harambe Market, Rum Blossom cocktail and Mo'ara margarita at Pongu Pongu, Prickly pear margarita at Dawa Bar, and everything at Tiffins. Animal Kingdom is a great hybrid of amusement park and zoo and it's one we will definitely visit again!

    fun zoo
It doesn't matter if you get a fast pass for this place, it's all finished in one day, but you'll have to wait in line for a long time. It's definitely worth watching Nemo and the Lion King shows. Don't leave without having a wonderful experience with Avatar. You don't need to arrive very early, but it will read better if you try to stay late.

    More Relaxed
We came here on a chilly day over spring break. We had already been to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on this trip, so the pace here was much slower, which we liked a lot. Wait times were average for what we wanted to do. We rode the safari and made a trip to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where we completed an animation session. We all enjoyed that. We rode the safari again in the evening and we walked right on. We dined at Yak and Yeti and had a lot of wonderful snacks. Of course, The Festival of the Lion King show is a must see too.

    Lots to see and door
The entire family had a fabulous time and all ages were catered for. We chose the safari bus on arrival and although we had a bit of a wait, it was worth it. The tree of life is very impressive and the Dino ride was loved by the younger members of our party.

    Amazing park!!
One of my favourite Disney parks! The day was magical from start to finish. Our strategy was to get a lightning lane for Flight of Passage and head straight to the safari, which I highly recommend! It is best to do the safari in the morning when the animals are more active! Pandora is absolutely unreal!!! Possibly my favourite land of all Disney lands! The Avatar rides were absolutely incredible, flight of passage was so immersive, and Na'vi river journey was stunningly beautiful! What an amazing addition to this park. Of course it was very busy, and it was a shame that we didn't get to ride Everest as it closed when we were in the queue, and the rapids were also closed. Apart from that, a magical day and wonderful memories made!

Strange combination of a zoo with some rides and some of the headliner rides (Avatar and Everest) have nothing to do with animals.

We went on a day with “moderate crowds” (rated a five out of ten) and it still seemed jammed. Avatar flight of passage got up to a 205 minute wait (!) and the Everest ride was down until after one o clock.

The major problem with this park seems to be the lack of attractions/rides to spread out the crowds. The animal exhibits are fine but with the exception of the safari, nothing you won’t see in any other major US zoo. Doesn’t help either that the river raft ride is down in the winter months, which means one less ride.

Broke down and got the Avatar Flight of Passage lightning lane at park opening (not staying on property) and the earliest I could get (booking at 8 am opening) at 1:20. Extra cost of $60 for a family of four on top of the admission price but lightning lane did work and got on the ride within 10 minutes. Avatar ride is very impressive but not sure worth an extra $60.

Did not buy genie plus (genie plus does not include Avatar Flight of Passage) but was able to see everything in one full day (8 to 6) just buying the Avatar Flight of Passage Lightning Lane.

Biggest tip I can give someone is to ignore the posted wait times at the end of the day on the big attractions. They simply aren’t accurate and they are probably deliberately overstated to dissuade you from getting in line. As long as you are in line by the closing time, they won’t turn you away from a ride. Got in line for Everest at 5:45 (closing time 6 pm) with a posted time of 70 minute wait. Was on ride within 20 minutes. Posted Wait times during the rest of the day are pretty accurate.

Those clever people at Disney have divided Disney World into 5 parks, which are scattered around the city and for which you either get a single ticket or dedicate a day each. Given that AK costs 109 dollars, MK 139 dollars and epcot 119 dollars, you are forced to choose one or two so as to fit in, both in costs and in vacation days. If MK is the same as Paris then the two that deserve it are AK and Epcot although the two theme parks are not quite what Mr. Disney would have imagined. AK is a sort of zoo with Africa and Asia sharing the task of competing with Avatar, its valley and its attraction. Given that this attraction alone is worth the price of the ticket, the beauty of the safari and seeing the animals in cages, although well kept and in their natural habitats recreated to perfection, loses the taste of a real Disney experience. In my case, being me and the
My family is a globetrotter and having visited Africa and Asia far and wide, we have always seen the animals free and in their places of belonging, therefore it all seemed like a waste of time. Despite this, the environments, the sets, the details, the animals are certainly a beautiful sight for those who have never had the same opportunity as us. Avatar which cost 550 million dollars is something sensational, a futuristic experience at the limit of the imaginable with all the senses involved and a complete immersion in the film and its characters. This alone is worth the $109 spent. Parking 25 euros. Compulsory shopping at Walmart the day before.

I LOVED IT! We arrived early around 7:20am park opened 8am, we pre booked 1 day pass each, which was around $150 per person, we drove so paid for parking which was $30. We headed straight for the safari which was honestly brilliant!! I couldn't believe how many animals we saw! We then headed to Avatar World, the amount of detail put in is unreal, truly magical. We qued for about 80 mins for the simulation ride, OMG brilliant, so so good, I only wished it was longer!! We then went around the park I can't remember the order, Asia was brilliant and the Mount Everest ride was really good, I didn't know what to expect from the whole ride so maybe if I went again I'd get the lightning pass for the rides because the ques were mega long, all in all fabulous day

We had been planning our visit to the park for several months, eagerly anticipating the moment. Arriving at the park at 10:30 in the morning, we smoothly went through the registration process, which pleased us. We had purchased our tickets online, priced at $169 per person on January 2nd. Be attentive – online ticket purchases don't provide an express feature. While the park was clean inside, the overall infrastructure appeared quite dated for the considerable amount charged per person. There's room for significant improvement!

The vast queues for attractions were disheartening. For instance, the wait for Avatar exceeded three hours, and nearly two hours for the River Avatar. Even with an express ticket, don't assume immediate access; you'll still find yourself standing in line. Restaurants had daunting queues too. The safari ride left us disappointed, with a wait time exceeding 90 minutes and a sparse population of animals, rendering the park seemingly empty and unengaging.

If you believe the dinosaur attraction is captivating, think twice. After enduring a two-hour wait, the interior reveals very little of interest – it's dimly lit, and visibility of the few dinosaurs is quite poor.

The park left a highly negative impression; the price did not align with the experience. Consider twice before visiting this park. I would describe this place as a disappointment rather than an amusement.

I was puzzled. The signs were confusing especially since the park was packed on a Thursday in mid-November. I did not know what the park wanted to be. If you want an animal experience, buy an annual pass to your local zoo for the price of a one-day ticket. If you want rides, there are better amusement or theme parks in the area.

Disney got rid of the free Lightning Lanes for all visitors and now they are paid. It’s a bottom line issue for them but for those of us who sacrifice to take our family as a Christmas present it would mean almost $400 more beyond tickets, food and lodging. Without the LL, the waits have become prohibiting. We had my older parents with us and had to walk away without visiting Pandora because the wait for Avatar never went below 3 hours. By the time we left near park closing, it was 250 minutes! I had some disappointed teenagers. I don’t begrudge those who can afford the perks but the system is broken when the regular visitors have to wait 4 hours for ONE ride. It feels like we don’t matter to Disney unless you have money for the extras. We won’t be back.

On the positive side the Character breakfast at Tusker House was excellent. Helpful cast members, good food and lots of Characters for kids.
The new Flight of Avatar ride was brilliant but we queued for two hours!
The safari is also a must do.
It is worth warning people that the queues for rides have been horrendous, even if you are up before 7 am to be able to book lightning lines or Genie + we found it was already fully subscribed. This cost $108!
Disney replaced a very simple ‘all inclusive’ ticket system with a very complicated system that offers different options to achiever one goal - to enjoy a ride! It has taken the best part of a 2 week holiday to understand this app! The old fast pass system was simple and available on all rides. It seems ridiculous to have virtual queues for some rides and not have the ability to physically queue, Genie+ lightning lane on some and Lightning Lane on the newest rides.
In addition to all,of this car parking at the parks is now $30 per day!
However I can’t help but feel the parks are getting further and further away from the original Walt Disney ethos and are now just greedy!

We did the Kilimanjaro Safari first as the weather was going to get worse as the day went on and saw all of the main animals out and about before they sought shelter from the rain which really good as on the previous time they had been more elusive. We then went and saw the lion king show and grabbed some lunch while undercover before then going to it's tough to be a bug. By now the rain was coming down hard so half the group headed home with the hardcore ones adopting the idea that as we are wet we may as well do Kali river rapids, which this time round I thought was a lot shorter than last time. Next up was Expedition Everest and using our previous knowledge opted for the single rider queue which was at most 5 people so we got 4 goes on this great ride in about 20 minutes with zero waiting times. We then opted to go to Avatar Flight of Passage which despite the hour wait is still a good ride especially now I have seen the film and know a bit more about it.

We had a great time at the park. We followed people's advise - arrived early and headed straight to the Avatar Flight of Passage. The app said the wait was 60 minutes but it ended up to be 90 minutes. It was hot outside, some areas had shade but the majority was with the sun shining on us. Once inside it was air conditioned and further inside, they did design 2 bathrooms (finally some thought into their planning). The attraction was worth the wait. We liked it so much we came back right before closing and did it again, this time it was only 45 minutes (once you are in line you are good even if the park is closed).
The safari ride was okay. We saw animals roaming around or eating. This attraction was also a 90 minute wait and mostly outside under the hot sun except one small part was in a building There were some shady areas and they did have fans blowing.
The Navi ride was beautiful. It's a slow water ride, has beautiful lighting and animatronics. This park has the fewest rides and we were able to do all of them in one day.
In summary, we did have a great time. You just have to know the weather and be prepared. We knew we had come on one of the hottest days so we knew we were going to be sweating. Of course, expect long lines and have fun. We are on vacation!

By far the least exciting Disney park. Our first time here and Oh my it was boring … even the kids were bored. We are a family of 5 and everyone was disappointed. 2 adults, 2 (4 year olds) and a 17 year old. No disney “magic” here. The safari is a joke - you will see more animals at a zoo. How can they call this park animal kingdom…
Overpriced for what it is. I also noticed that you can see guests leaving all day long with out any bags in their hands!
Only live show we got to see was Nemo - that was a good show. Lion king we really
wanted to see but people were standing in line an hour before the show even started which resulted in having to prioritize what to see as the park closes early. Everything was an hour wait. We got, at the park at around 9 am and ended up leaving by 4:30 pm. We had lunch in the park, which took up an 1 1/2 hour of our time because of wait time to get in and how long it took to get our food. Which cut back how much time we actually had in the park. We felt constantly pressured on time. We won’t be back at this park.
