This was our third VIP Disney tour. We knew Covid had changed the Disney experience, but didn’t realize how that would translate to the VIP tour. I wish it had been clear at the booking because we would have passed. What it used to be: get picked up at your hotel in a new Suburban. Waters and snacks in the car, water and snacks as you exit the car at each park. Bubbly host who chatters the whole day, giving tidbits about the park and leading the group in maximizing the time while getting the desired rides completed. What it is now: get picked up at your hotel in an old Disney van. Get pushed to the back “due to Covid” with open windows “due to Covid” so you’re literally cooking wearing masks, crammed in the very back of this crappy van. Stop at your hotel check in for a temperature check, stop at some security place for a baggage check (the whole time, kids are complaining about the heat, generally uncomfortable). It literally took 51 minutes to get in line for the first ride after pickup. Tour guide is really just a driver since they are two rows away from you and seem comfortable since it’s the back windows that are open and she had air conditioning. The second you remove your mask the tour guide freezes, stops everything and asks you to put it back on....even in the hot van, masks had to be worn. Take a sip of water? Nope, can’t do it unless you walk over to the side and stop. No snacks, no water in the van “due to Covid”. Tour guide doesn’t go on rides with you, which wasn’t a big deal but was a time loss because she wasn’t always at the exit when we were done so we spent a significant time waiting for her. If we were thirsty, she would order waters on her phone and then take about 20 min to get them. Lots of waiting and wasted time. Absolutely no chatting about the parks and having fun, this was literally just a person who drove us around in a hot van and shoved us in the fast pass lane and disappeared. Overall, not worth the $4K and we wouldn’t do this again until the Covid scare has disappeared.

The perks you get from the VIP tour: fast pass on all rides, personal drive service between parks are amazing. but when the Guide reminds me of my Math teacher in 8th grade it ruins the whole experience. We did a previous VIP tour and we had an amazing guide. he was fun, made things exciting and had a great uplifting mood during the whole tour. this made us want to book again! this time from the start we saw it wouldn't be the same. no smile during whole tour, barely any talk, we felt that the guide was doing us a favor getting us to all the rides, terrible experience. after an hour we were ready to call it quits. I now see it as risky to book a tour as you don't know what experience you are going to get Tip for Disney: As you are constantly going in/out of vans to get to the next ride, a remote car starter would be very useful so you are not always entering a very hot car

The only way to go during this time of uncertainty. I think I feel safe and would love to go back even though it’s not the same as before.

I know it’s an incredible amount of money to spend on a single 7 hour experience but it will forever change how you see Disney. No excessive waits, getting lost, long commutes between parks, none of the stress. Just enjoyment, ease and a knowledgeable and friendly cast member. Pro tip: I highly recommend requesting Sandy. She is fantastic with children!

First and foremost you need to understand the VIP tour is what you make of it. We loved our tour we did in Sept and will be going back in April. Our tour guide Andrew was amazing. We had a party of 8, 3 kids and 5 adults. 3 adults who're physically able to walk and move quickly and two who had limitations. We did 3 parks in 8 hours. We hit all major rides. I'm confused by one post stating you couldn't get into Oga's cantina as our guide got us in within 10 mins. We spent no more then 10 mins tops in a line and at some point rode some ride back to back (Rockin Roller Coaster, Slinky Dog Dash,Tower of Terror and so many more). We got to meet characters quickly. I can say after after using the tour every time we go to Disney is you need to PLAN. You need to contact Disney signature services and let them know what you want to do. Don't over plan. We plan on doing 2 parks in 8 hours so we aren't rushing ourselves but also doesn't require us to stand in line it allows us backdoor access. I would recommend it to anyone than splurge. The cost ranges from $425-750$ an hour with a minimum of 7 hours. You do get transportation to and from the park and so much more!
