I love to go each Christmas to see the Upton display. The family donated ornaments, which are displayed throughout the museum on many Christmas trees. They also have a huge Santa display, Nutcrackers, Buyer Carolers, Nativity's, and Christmas villages. On the first Saturday of December they have a family free day. They have activities and free snacks for the family's.... More

They had a bonsai exhibit. It was really interesting to see this. So many were old bonsai and so beautiful also.

Small, interesting collection. The Spanish Colonial artworks are truly enhanced by the religious music playing in the background. I enjoyed the African masks that included informative notes and photos of the masks actually being used. Really enjoyed the paintings by Bouguereau, especially "The Little Knitter", who felt timeless to me. Lovely outdoor installations, including "Fancy Free" -- a site specific... More

A friend wanted to go to the Christmas exhibit. We really enjoyed it. They had all the whimsical characters from Grandinroad and they were amazingly detailed and adorable. There was a collection of nutcrackers and a good deal of religious paintings from Latin artists. Beautiful Madonnas and hand crafted Spanish frames. The staff wss great and so helpful. A sweet... Originally we planned a day of canoeing at Silver Springs but the weather did not cooperate and rained. We visited Appleton Museum of ART and was pleasantly impressed. I loved the children's art room it has some great ideas for teachers. There are many great exhibits but our favorite was the futuristic displays. Cool place to spend a couple of... More

I am a member. They have special exhibits, that are a must see. The staff are always friendly. The grounds and outside art are nice. It is a very unbusy, peaceful place.

From living artwork, fountains and sculptures on magnificent grounds, to changing collections and permanent installations, everything here is top quality, including the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The center courtyard is an oasis itself. Worth your time -- you'll expand your sensibilities, and sure to find a new favorite work of art.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Special exhibits were excellent and Mr. Appleton's collection is amazing. Sorry there is not cafe or we would have spent more time here. Great little gift shop too. People all very friendly and helpful.

This museum is something you would expect to see in a much larger city. The exhibits are great and change often making return trips a must!
