Overview

Our founders, the Thompsons, connected over a mutual love of animals, and thereafter discovered an unknown breed of horse, developed by British Gypsies, while traveling through the English countryside. After a four-year journey to understand these horses and the culture that created them, we took part in naming them: the Gypsy Vanner horse. The Gypsy Gold Farm is home to the first 16 registered horses of a breed that's now 5,000 animals strong. Our 40 acre ranch is an educational and cultural oasis, where visitors to Central Florida learn about one of the most colorful and least understood societies on earth and the magical Vanner Horses they envisioned.

What an amazing tour! Dennis has such passion, knowledge and stage-presence. Most of all he is a masterful storyteller - made even more powerful by the fact that it's his own incredible story he's telling. The story has elements of romance, horses, travel, science (genetics),...More

Hay, Boot Crazed you must return and talk to Erin about her boots. Santa brought her a new pair for Christmas. I am surprised there is not a FB page for the thousands of boot crazed to gather share stories and pictures. Thank you so...More

The tour consists of about an hour of history and slides or photos of how the breed originated. If she can sit through a presentation that long I would say OK.

The first hour of the tour is sitting, and the rest of the tour is a leisurely walk....There are several places in which to have a sit, or if need be I can drive. We would love to have you. Thank you.
