Lynn and I have been driving past the Don Garlits Museum since the 80s, but recently we were able to tour the museum with 20 members of our Tampa Bay Mercedes Benz Club. In the main building there is a history in cars of Don Garlits' racing life. This main showroom has many dragsters, most with speed records and firsts... More

Really great selection of classic old cars, hot rods, race cars and of course dragsters. The other items in the museum are a trip back to the 40's through the 70's. It's a decent day out and very enjoyable.

Very interesting and a lot of great cars on site. Amazing how many show cars and different collectables that Don has amassed over the years of collecting. Staff very friendly.

Not being much of a car buff I hesitantly accompanied my friend to the museum. We visited the vintage museum first. The car collection was extensive. Most had a small story or history posted in front. I found myself drawn in. The cars were awesome and some of the histories were unique. I was very pleased with what I experience... More

This place will make you wish your brain could run on HIGH OCTANE and that you had 10w-30 coursing through your veins. It's a gearhead's haven. And, it gets better all the time!

Racing history in the form of the legendary Don Garlits is what you will see. There is a large collection of motoring memorabilia including some of his iconic dragsters.well displayed, neatly organized, a real pleasure to visit even if you are only a causal fan.

After driving by hundreds of times. I finally took my dad for fathers day. Don Garlits defiantly has a large collection. It is really neat to see the lengths racers went to trying to go faster. It is also cool to see the things they are still using today. Although I understand it is a museum with OLD cars, it... More
