We toured with Karen on Friday 8/26/16. We met at the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders Owners and Breeders Association, nice meeting place. She also covered some history of the Association and Ocala's place in the Horse World. I didn't realize there are more horses' in the Ocala area than anywhere in the world. Karen had a nice van, with rear AC... More

Karen was a great guide. We met near the Ocala Breeder Sales and toured that facility as well as hands on interaction with various horse farms in the area. Karen has networked with various farm owners to allow guests to tour. It was a great 3 hour tour, with a lot of information about the history of the Ocala Horse... More

My wife and I enjoyed the his tour as part of our 32nd anniversary while in the area. What a great tour. Up close and personal with many different farms in Ocala. We learned so much due to owner Karen who provided us with an informative 4 hour tour. A must do if anywhere near close to Ocala.

What an incredible way to spend a morning! For over three hours, Karen drove us around the horse farms of Ocala, giving us insight into the world of thoroughbreds and racing. Ocala is a major area for race horses right along with Kentucky. We actually made stops at four farms, seeing horses training, mares with foals, and a stud farm.... More

Thank you for the fabulous review! This time of year, many of the Thoroughbreds have gone north to race. The Sport Horses, ( hunters, jumpers, 3 Day, Dressage, etc.) are on their circuit too. We still have the little ones, and many other horses to see. Hope to see you again! More

We live in South Florida and planned a weekend away to go tubing on The Rainbow River and ziplining at The Canyons. Since Ocala is known as The Horse Capital of the World we couldn't leave without learning more about the horses, so we scheduled a tour with Karen Grimes at Farm Tours of Ocala. We knew little to nothing... More

Whether you are local or visiting, know a lot about horses or know little, if you want to learn about the horse industry in Ocala, you will on this tour. Even though it rained for much of the tour i was on, we still visited several places by van, and I learned a lot. You may see baby horses, horse... More

Thank you for the great review! I love taking the mystery out of horses for people Yes the rain got us that day. We dodged most of it. Pulling the van into the barn helped matters. More

Amazing experience!!!! First time in an two years old horse's auction. In shock while seeing people buying a horse for $800,000 The horses were beautifull! Place was immaculate: not one bug or fly close to animals or stables. People was super friendly and explicative.

I was bitten by the horse bug as a small child and have never recovered. I've owned many horses through my life and have watched the Kentucky Derby faithfully since I was 9 years old, adding the other Triple Crown races soon after. I learned about the Ocala horse industry many years ago and have dreamed of visiting there ever... More

I think you must have to live in USA to be able to book this tour. We contacted the website 3 times prior to going on holiday to try and book a tour and also left contact details but never received so much as an acknowledgement to the email or a phone call. We then tried to book again once... More

My apologies for the confusion. Future guests, please keep in mind that this is not a review of the tour. The farms give me access to literally their "Homes" based on the fact that the groups are small and intimate. I am vigilant in regards to avoid overbooking as the spaces fill up very, very quickly. I have had hundreds... More
