We met Captain Nick a little sooner than he expected, and he was there waiting for us. He really appreciated his guests promptness. While it was a cooler day than what we might have wanted, the boat ride was so relaxing, comfortable and fun and the conversation and laughter with Nick was amazing, informative and entertaining! We highly recommend him for your tour of the Silver Springs or a fishing charter in the area.
You will be totally satisfied! Thank you Captain Nick for being available for us today!!🌞⚓

Kris:
Nick is always happy when his guests have a Silver River experience to remember. It is such a peaceful and relaxing ride down the River, and the wildlife just adds to the memory. We hope you get a chance to come back when it is a little warmer.
Thank you!

We took a 3 hour scenic boat tour and we really enjoyed ourselves. Nick is such a naturalist and so friendly. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of the river with us and we enjoyed listening. We saw many monkeys, alligators, all types of birds and fish. The highlight was when we saw the baby manatee. Thanks, Nick for the wonderful experience.

It was the highlight of our holiday.
We went on this boat trip 28th Sept 2012.
We have done all the theme parks and wanted to experience the natural beauty of Florida, this was PERFECT for that!
Get away from the commercialism… of the Mouse, Whale and Superheroes!!!
We saw alligators, in their natural habitat! So many birds, loads of turtles, both Captains did 2 fish feedings and loads of fish came to eat, the kids loved seeing that, and most amazing of all, we were even lucky enough to see a troop of wild monkeys jumping from tree to tree across to river! It was fantastic!
The river is so clear, totally amazing! To be able to see the river bed with all its abundant fish!
We got loads of great photos.
Captain Nick is great and very helpful, there were 10 of us on the holiday and his boat holds 6 so he even arranged his buddy another experienced captain, Captain Tom, to take us on another boat.
Captain Tom, with his vast experience kept us entertained, he was great fun!!
Having worked with the BBC on the programme “Deadly 60” and spent over 30 years on the river, Captain Tom was very knowledgeable about all the animals and kept us laughing with jokes and humorous stories both in his own take on life, the universe and everything Oh… and on the river.
This is trip is definitely a MUST DO when you visit Florida.
It’s worth the drive there, even if you’re not staying close by.
It took us 1hr 45 minutes to get there from Kissimmee with 3 kids and 7 adults and it was worth the drive!
Bring your Cameras, Sodas and Sun cream!
The price is very reasonable for the 3 hour experience which makes it even better.
Thanks Captain Nick and Captain Tom keep up the hard work!

We just spent three hours on the river with Capt. Nick of Slick charters. The River Tour included a nice, comfy seats with backs (for us older folks) guided tour with a very knowledgeable Capt. Nick knows his birds and alot about the river history. The water is so clear -- the springs provide fresh water for the FL aquafir...birds, alligators, gar fish, turtles and monkeys can be spotted along the banks. Beautiful trip with friends. Private boat, not alot of strangers.

We had the pleasure of hiring Captain Nick for his 3 hour Silver River tour. What a great experience. We can't wait to hire him the next time we are visiting that area. He is very knowledgeable about the river, trees, fish, wildlife, the Springs and the monkeys. Don't miss the opportunity to take this tour, it is well worth the money.

We arrived early in the day for our tour. It worked out very well because there was no one on the river and the wildlife had not been disturbed. We saw birds, fish and many other animals. My favorite were the monkeys. We were able to get a close look at everything. Captain Nick was very knowledgeable and respectful of the environment. He answered our questions and told us entertaining stories as we went along.
We went with our elderly parents and they were quite comfortable the boat.
A great value too!

As a charter boat captain in SWFL I totally appreciate a captain who is on time and has the local knowledge. Boat was in the water and he was ready and waiting as we pulled in just before 9 AM, our start time. I have been on charter fishing trips that we refer to as an expensive boat ride. This was inexpensive for what it is. A private boat for the wife a science teacher and myself. Capt Nick knows his birds, plants, gators, fish, etc.. In fact I think he knows some by name. I wish I could slap my hand on the water and have the fish swim to my boat when fishing. He has the fish trained! We did see the monkeys but they were kind of skittish this day. Still we saw them. Never knew FL had wild monkeys. I have never seen water so clear in my entire life anywhere in my fishing travels. Clear water in the Bahamas has nothing on this super clear clean water. This is the headwater and you can watch the water coming up thru the rocks from the springs. If you have kids, book this trip. If you dont have kids, book this trip. I had a great time with Capt Nick and the science teacher said this was the nicest trip/adventure I had booked for her in years. 100% RECOMMENDED!!! Capt Nick, will be back to fish with you at some point but looking for an all day trip! Thanks again, Capt Mike

Capt. Mike:
Nick looks forward to having you back out on the Rivers. He says to remind you that the Bass bite on the Ocklawaha River just keeps getting better over the next few months. Mother Nature has been drawing visitors to the clear waters of the Silver River for ages, and we are glad that you both enjoyed your trip.
Thank you for your kind words!

I booked this tour, wanting to find the true Florida and to show my children(age 10,13 & 16) that Florida is not just theme parks. I booked the tour via email which was very efficient and informative.
We met Captain Nick at 8am ready for our trip, the location was easy to find, plenty of parking ($5) and a toilet on site. We packed our own bottles of water and snacks for the 3 hour tour of Silver Springs river, not really sure what we'd see. The river was so peaceful but also full of natures sounds and within 2 minutes we didn't know where to look as there was so much to see. We saw turtles basking on logs, alligators, river otters, several troops of monkeys playing on the river bank and loads of varieties of birds. It was amazing !! It really was like watching a nature documentary and not another boat in sight.
Captain Nick has 35 years experience of the area and he was so knowledgeable, respectful of the nature and a genuinely interesting person.
We thoroughly recommend this trip, stunning scenery, great value for money and memories of Florida that my children will have forever that don't involve crowds & queuing!!

Three hours of another world, as the captain took us down the beautiful river. The sights were sublime and the captain didn't talk too much--just enough. A real bargain.

A beautiful day was in the forecast so we called Captain Nick to book a River Tour. My Mom, Dad and I were warmly greeted by Captain Nick as we stepped aboard. The seats are comfy and the boat was spacious for just the 3 of us. Captain Nick's knowledge of the river and its critters really made the tour. He pointed out birds, gators, turtles and monkeys. We had time to take photos as we liked and learned all kinds of cool things about the various species. Definitely a great way to explore the river - Captain Nick is top notch!

Are your boats handicapped accessible? Wheelchair? Walker?
Written February 3, 2017
Thank you for your question. Anyone taking our tour must be able to climb down a small ladder into the boat. I can refer you to a captain who has a pontoon boat. Please give me a call!
Written February 4, 2017
The charters are all private, and the cost per adult is $35. The county requires a $5 parking fee. My apologies for the late answer, but I was unaware that a question had been posted. Thank you, and please give a call if I can provide any other information for you. Cindy @ 352-236-3955
