It's always amazing to see the springs in Florida. The water is so perfectly clear and the constant temperature is amazing. Paradise Springs is one of Ocala's best attractions and a must see while visiting Ocala.

I love this dive site, but beware of new rules that are not on their website. If you bring a 13-year-old that is certified to dive, you have to have two buddies on the dive even if you are an instructor. After driving two hours...More

This is a neat little secret spot in the middle of nowhere. The top of a cavern collapsed a very long time ago. The dive is 80 feet until you come to the entrance to the cave. Since I am not cave certified, I went...More

I have debated diving this small hole in the ground for a while now. We decided to go down on Friday this past week. Its a little of the beaten path, out under some old oak trees, and ran out of the owners garage. They...More

Nice little dive. Was a little cramped in places with the Columbus Scuba gang, but over all a very good dive.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. If not for the dive signs leading to the site you wouldn't know about this spot. This little hole turned out to be one of the most interesting dives I've ever done. About 20 ft across at the...More

My kind of place and people. Owner is very down to earth diver who has kept it simple. Mostly unmolested entrance area and cavern which gives an experience as close to natural as possible with minimal change as insteps and guide line.

Minimal facility but the spring is nice. Not much more than a cavern dive but very nice for that. The wooden entry needs fixing but safe for entry.

We heard from one of the divemasters in Crystal River that this was his favorite place to dive, so we thought we could not pass it up! This dive site is located on private property, just south of Ocala, Florida. On the day that we went,...More

This place was a great dive!! But, oh my goodness. Can you say, "Deliverance"? I can not believe the people that own this place let it look the way it does. Everything but the dive was without a doubt sketchy. Broke down vehicles everywhere, neck...More

Today's List of winery destinations include no Virginia wine (8 Replies)
I am a big fan of Virginia wines. I live in Arlington and regularly go to Loudoun and Faquire County wineries. I think you do your readers a disservice by not covering these wineries. My son just was married and we used wines from North Gate in Loudoun. It has a very nice solar roof, too. Some wineries, i.e. Paradise Springs, Winery at Bull Run, Chrystalis, Pearmund, LaGrange are even closer to DC. All are good and tourists should know more about them.

We spent last weekend at the Rebec Winery where they held the annual Garlic and wine Festival. It was a wonderful two days of wine sampling and all kinds of garlic stuff! To us our favorite wines that we tasted and bought we're from Rebecca and Hill Top Winery. Rebecs Autum Glow is outstanding and Hill Top makes and sells varieties of Mead. This year they have a pumpkin spice mead that is to die for.
