A GREAT TIME! I am a permissive aunt always looking for new adventures for my niece and nephew who truly prefer to be in the air conditioning and on the computer truth be told. However taking a risk on this business that I found randomly online turned out to be one of the best parts of my trip to visit the kids. Tam was amazing setting up our ATV ride. Very easy to work with straight forward pricing and even worked with me to change the date last minute. The right itself was the perfect level for us since most of us are not regular ATV riders and had to learn. Everything is pretty easy and just the right amount of challenge for us. We had a wonderful time my nephew even said he would love to go back and do it again. (And This is HUGE.) Thank you Tam we had a great time.

My husband and I were looking for something different to do while on vacation in Orlando and found ATV Off-Road Adventure Tours in Ocala.

Pete(?) was very gracious and accomodating and set up a tour for the very same day. I had never been on an ATV before and had the option of going on the back of my husbands or riding my own. I highly recomment riding your own. Pete very patiently showed me how to ride the the ATV. He supplied water and a snack. I recommend bringing more water if the weather is hot! There is a place on the back of the ATV to carry it and a camera.

We went on a 2 1/2 hour ride through the Ocala National Forest. We stopped along the way for Pete to show us different animal tracks (bear, deer, racoon etc). He pointed out different areas of the forest and how it is controlled by the forestry svc. He is very knowledgable about the park and wildlife. Although we didn't see any bears, Pete (being in the front) saw a bear on the side of the trail but it scampered off before we got there. We did see a deer. I don't know how he picked it out of the woods while riding, I couldn't even see it until it moved it's ears.

Our guide was also happy to take pictues of us in different spots. He had some great pictures of the wildlife in the forest. He also didn't mind if we stopped along the way to take our own pictures.

If you don't ride on a regular basis, I recommend the 21 mile trip (about 2-21/2 hours). Your thumb gets tired from holding down the throttle.

We had a great time! Worth the trip up from Orlando.

My wife and I went on this tour in late July and it was AWESOME! Peter was friendly and his sidekick (sorry but forgot his name) was too nice, you can't beat them. We went on the 22 mile run through the Ocala National Forrest. I was hoping to see some bears, but settled by seeing fresh tracks that Peter pointed out to us. We stopped a few times and everytime Peter was asking if we wanted pictures. I would definitley do that again!

There were six of us from age 19 thru age 59 and we all had a terrific time! Peter and Jimmy were really great - they took their time showing us how to operate the ATV's and were very knowledgeable about the area and animal life. I appreciated their great attitudes and sense of humor. The rides were fun and exhilirating. I would definitely recommend and would do it again! Thank you.

Didn't see any wildlife or anything terribly exciting really, the park was pretty and we had fun but definitely NOT what I expected from an ATV trip. Firstly, they are not kidding about the 'nice leisurely pace' stuff. We had a couple very experienced riders in our group and the guides kept scolding them for going too fast or taking turns too sharply or not driving in an exactly straight line behind everyone else. Really??? They seriously don't want you going more than 15 mph which was pretty disappointing to us. Quite frankly at that point I'd rather be on horseback. Secondly they go way overboard on the safety stuff and 'worse case scenario' anecdotes. After we got there and got outfitted with helmets, goggles and gloves they basically set us on the ATVs (which were WAY bigger than I had anticipated), told us how to start them up and had us drive around the parking lot and get the feel for them. That was the point were I thought, 'ok, this is a little strange, I've never ridden a bike with a throttle and hand breaks and all but I can totally handle this!' And THEN the safety talks started and we got to hear about every bad thing that's ever happened on the trail and how careful you have to be and on and on. They had me so completely freaked out that when I hit some deep sand and the steering on the ATV started pulling one way and the other I completely lost it! ran off the trail, got stuck and started having a panic attack. I was shaking so bad I couldn't drive the ATV and ended up riding on the back of one with one of my friends. In the end it turned out to be way more fun because my friends goofed off when the guides weren't looking but it would be really great if they would just ease off all the doom and gloom stories a bit. Oh, and also let people know that the trail is NOT like the parking lot; it's SAND and it will change the way the ATV steers.

Overall it was fun but I think next time I'll check out a different place next time that's more focused on letting people cut loose.

We had never ridden ATV's before but it was very easy. The wonderful trails are all soft sand and the ATV almost steers itself. There are rest stops and they provide water and snacks. It had rained a little overnight so it was not dusty as it can get sometimes. Helmets, goggles, and gloves are also provided. This is not primarily an animal watching tour but they do see bears about 30% of the time and we saw a Florida fox squirrel. Whole trip is 21 miles $79 and takes about 3 hours. Because of the sand the ride is very smooth and not jarring. The owner, Peter, was knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for a good time.

My wife and I decided we wanted to go 4 wheeling, and take a dear friend with us for the adventure. We could have not been more impressed with ATV Off-Road Adventure Tours! We were greeted by Pete and Sam in the Ocala National Forest, otherwise known as the big scrub. They were friendly, funny, sincerely nice guys who not only wanted us to be safe but to have an absolute blast. We took the five and half hour tour, but honestly could have ridden until the sun went down. The training session took my wife's and our friends jitters away as they had never even sat on one of these before. The scenery is amazing, temperatures cool, and just stunning. The wildlife was great even seeing black bear running like crazy down the trails, it was amazing. The trails are great and easy to work for the novice and the expert and will definitely give you a good workout. The quads are well maintained and the snack and water that we carried with us made sure we didn't get too parched. On the longer tour you stop for lunch at a quaint little diner in the town of Salt Springs, a town so small, all of their businesses are located in one place, literally. Pete and Sam, you can't say enough good things about them. Engaging, curious, carry a lot of good stories with them, and will keep you laughing too! We will definitely be back, more than likely next month! If your looking for a great cruise in the natural back country of Florida, this is the one you want!

My brother was visiting from NY and my wife and I wanted to show him the forest. We called ATV Off-road Adventure Tours and Pete was very accommodating for our last minute plan. The safety briefing and practice drive took my wife's jitters away and made her feel safe and comfortable. The pace was nice and allowed us to absorb the scenery. We stopped a few times along the way to point out bear tracks and wildlife. We did a three hour tour and it just flew by. All their ATVs are obviously very we'll maintained and very smooth riding. The 2 seaters are really comfortable and I could've easily rode all day long. The experience we had was great and has made my wife and I seriously consider getting a couple of 2 seater ATVs for ourselves. The single seaters they have are just as comfortable and smooth. It has been about a month and my brother still keeps talking about it, he wants to get away from the NY snow, come back down and do the 6 hour tour. Thanks for a great relaxing time!
