If you have a boat is is the most perfect trip you could make. It is quiet and beautiful. You will most likely see some wildlife. Very enjoyable.

Haven't been to Silver Springs since I was a child neither had my hubby. So we thought we would take a couple of days and ride down for a glass bottom boat ride. Was very nice. Got to see turtles and an old Indian canoe under the water. Some statues that were used in some old movies including a James... More

Had a need to go on a picnic and someone recommended we go here, so we did and were very pleased with the river. IF you have a boat, canoe or even an tube, this looks like the perfect river for some lazy day activities and fun. Give this and the Silver Springs park a try you will not be... More

My husband and I rented kayaks and spent a couple hours on the river. Saw alligators, turtles galore, many species of birds, fish etc. Easy to kayak and worth the trip

Avoid the park as there is nothing left of it but a glass bottom boat ride which is average. However if you take a right and head opposite the main gates you will find the kayak and canoe rental area. Do it! Good value and a great time among some stunning scenery and a beautiful little river with crystal clear... More

A trip down the Silver River is a trip back in time to Old Florida. Drifting slowly down the river one can see monkeys, (but don't get too close) many kinds of wild life including deer alligators turtles. It's a very relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend it.

As a kid I used to go to Silver Springs once awhile. Thinking it would be a nice day trip I decided to go on a Sunday afternoon. Since the state of Florida has taken over the Springs, the place has fallen into disrepair. The glass bottom boat rides are still awesome, but is only cut down to 20 minute... More
