Peaceful place to take a stroll
Nov 2019
A pretty place for a family picnic. Space for the kids to run around and very pretty views over inland waters.

Good for a quick stroll

Good for a quick stroll. Happened upon this one. It has a walk along the river. You get a glimpse of old Florida. It is worth the time and easy to walk around pretty quick.

Nice out of the way Park
Oct 2019
Noticed this park after a meal at Goodrich’s. It is part of the National Seashore. The park is small, quiet, scenic, a dock and with buildings in restoration. The staff is friendly and informative. Lots of quiet places to sit and enjoy and the long history from the original tribes through the Seminoles to the settlers and their home is most interesting.

Interesting

This was my second time there. It is very interesting to read about the history of the property. The house on site had a small gift shop. We also watched an informative video. The house is two story with a walk around porch. There are rocking chairs on the porch where you can sit and capture the view of the river.

An amazing piece of history in little Oak Hill
Feb 2019
This is one of my favorites spots to walk and take in the Indian river views. It is run by the park service and the house is open to view/It was built on clam and oyster shell mounds that the ancient local Indians used as a food gathering place and possibly ceremonial, there are other mounds along the river but years ago a lot were used to make road beds by crushing the shells. The house was part of a small farm that was there and house with some buildings remain and a dock. The front porch is a lovely spit to sit and take in the breezes and river views. There is an interactive area with geology info. And artifacts and can buy postcards and a few gifts. It is very quiet and serene with a trail around property.

Oak Hill Gem
May 2019 • Family
There isn't really anything to do in oak hill except for boating, however this place is pretty neat and very well maintained. If passing through I suggest showing it some love, slip back into the past and learn some oak hill history with a beautiful view.

Ps you can access the site via boat also.

Hidden jewel of history
Feb 2019 • Friends
We found this place by accident. It's a gorgeous old home on very hallowed ground. You can just imagine the lives of the Seminoles there at the shore.

A little history
Sep 2018 • Couples
The house and grounds are built on ancient Indian burial mounds, and is a part of the Canaveral National Seashore. There are walking trails with local botanical markers.
