$20 per person for facilities that have not been maintained. No showers; limited changing area; bathrooms do not work so they have a “temporary” system. There is no way the water was 87 degrees. We had a nice warm day of 75 and the water...More

Went there 1 day last week with sister while on vacation. I got a mini facial and a massage. They were nice. At 4:30 I was finished with my massage and headed out to the mineral springs for a few minutes before they were closing....More

Nice respite from this busy world. Felt like I was in Eastern Europe. Even more so with the bathrooms broken. Not too busy… everyone speaking a foreign language …plenty of room to walk the circle of water around the spring. I will return.

After swimming in sulphur smelling water, shared with turtles and fish you really want a shower afterwards but the showers were out of action and only temporary toilets available yet they still charged the full 20 dollar entrance fee.

I spoke with the management at this place and they said there would be no plumbing (toilets or showers) until further notice because the pipes under the building burst. She said it would be 3-6 months earliest for it to be fixed. Disgusting

I went there for a few hours with my husband. As a county resident, we received a $5 discount on the $20/day fee. Parking was free. From there on, please know that this venue is quite outdated. Supposedly upgrades are in the future, just not...More

The spring itself was nice. It did not feel like 87 degrees. Maybe 80 at best. Initially it's chilly and uncomfortable to go in but it feels better once you've been in for a bit. The problem is everything else. For $20 per adult, $10...More

This place is like a round lake the size of a large city-sized swimming pool. The bottom of the lake is sandy with all different sizes of rocks scattered around the outer circle, so I'd recommend sandals. The inner circle of the lake consists of...More

The facility needs a major update! Everything is old and musty. The entry price is way too high for what it is. The spring itself is luke warm, as expected and has a "rotten eggs" sulphur smell that just made us feel icky. We didn't...More

Massage prices are on the menu at the admissions desk. You can book your massage there. Massage rooms are accessible along the outside corridor, once you've gained entrance to the park.

No. You can bring some snacks, but you must get run into trouble with administration if it looks like real picnic. Definitely they will not allow alcohol.

Warm Mineral Springs for Kids? (2 Replies)
Hi - We are going to Sarasota for Christmas 2008 and would like to take a day trip to soak in the Warm Mineral Springs. We have two kids (ages 4 and 7)with us, and I see that the Warm Mineral Springs has a kids section but I did not know if anyone has been to it before. Also, is December a good time of year for the Warm Mineral Springs? Thanks so much!

I lived in the area as a child, and went many times with family. It is always warm, and I thought it a little strange as a child. However, I always enjoyed it - unique experience. December is fine if there isn't a cold front - just depends. If your kids can handle going from warm water to chilly air, it's fine then too. It can be very warm or chilly, so it just depends. There are other great day trips from Sarasota to the area as well. If you want to see the White Pelican, or unspoiled...More
