We enjoyed floating on our noodles in this warm large pond, If you don't have a noodle, they sell them there (except at a much higher price.) There are plenty of chairs provided on the grounds. It was a relaxing afternoon but the price was...More

This is a safe place to take a family with a picnic. It is very clean and friendly place to let teens roam and enjoy swimming in the warm mineral spring.

We went to find out what the attraction to the Spring was - we received their literature, I read up and watched videos from their website - very interesting geology & archeology. We (my wife & myself) went with open minds but a little concern...More

At $20 per person, we were shocked there was no running water available: No showers and only a port-a-potty. Front desk made no mention of that as we paid admission. Come on folks! At least warn us! The sulfur smell is strong, the water quite...More

I stand at my previous review of the place, nothing realy changed. Still nice place to visit but this year broken bathrooms and the toilets are closed waiting forever for the renovation. No discount due to that. Just portable toilets..Disappointing

Went to the Warm Springs today. It was a total rip-off. None of the bathrooms or showers worked. Staff did not tell us up front. The buildings were dilapidated and unkempt. The Springs itself smelled worse than I have ever experienced. Definitely NOT relaxing. Left...More

$20 per person for facilities that have not been maintained. No showers; limited changing area; bathrooms do not work so they have a “temporary” system. There is no way the water was 87 degrees. We had a nice warm day of 75 and the water...More

Nice respite from this busy world. Felt like I was in Eastern Europe. Even more so with the bathrooms broken. Not too busy… everyone speaking a foreign language …plenty of room to walk the circle of water around the spring. I will return.

After swimming in sulphur smelling water, shared with turtles and fish you really want a shower afterwards but the showers were out of action and only temporary toilets available yet they still charged the full 20 dollar entrance fee.

Massage prices are on the menu at the admissions desk. You can book your massage there. Massage rooms are accessible along the outside corridor, once you've gained entrance to the park.

Warm Mineral Springs for Kids? (2 Replies)
Hi - We are going to Sarasota for Christmas 2008 and would like to take a day trip to soak in the Warm Mineral Springs. We have two kids (ages 4 and 7)with us, and I see that the Warm Mineral Springs has a kids section but I did not know if anyone has been to it before. Also, is December a good time of year for the Warm Mineral Springs? Thanks so much!

I lived in the area as a child, and went many times with family. It is always warm, and I thought it a little strange as a child. However, I always enjoyed it - unique experience. December is fine if there isn't a cold front - just depends. If your kids can handle going from warm water to chilly air, it's fine then too. It can be very warm or chilly, so it just depends. There are other great day trips from Sarasota to the area as well. If you want to see the White Pelican, or unspoiled...More
