At a temperature of 87 degrees, Warm Mineral Springs contains 9 million gallons of fresh water which replenishes itself every two hours. This natural resource is comprised of 51 minerals, which is the highest mineral content of any natural spring in the United States. The spring has been added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places partly because it is one of the most important underwater archeological sites in America. During exploratory dives in the 1950s, the remains of a prehistoric hunter and seven other humans were discovered in a very well preserved state. Similarly, evidence of several creatures have been extracted from the spring, including saber tooth tigers, giant sloths, tortoises, and even camels. Today, with a goal of increased wellness for everyone, Warm Mineral Springs offers a natural experience to residents and visitors alike who want to soak in the warm waters.

We stayed at the warm mineral springs motel up the road, which we loved. Buy a noodle at the dollar store, and float in the healing warm waters. We went twice, and enjoyed it very much. Bring your own food and drink, but no coolers allowed. They do have a small store there.

My wife and I have been coming to this particular place for the last 14 years of an on, and the experience has always been very unique for there is no other place left in the state where one can take the mineral waters in such a large pond. It has always been very pleasant, and I must mention that... More

Source of Pounce De Leon's Fountain of Youth. Reportedly the hot mineral springs ease all ailments with average temp of 87 degrees. Park officials examine water for gators before opening in morning. Plan to stay all morning or all afternoon. Moderate entrance fee. Health Spa near lockers. 10,000 years ago, prehistoric man lived here as found by carbon dating as... More

The water helped ease the pain in my pelvis. It was a relaxing afternoon swimming and floating in the water. It took no effort to float in the water. The water was a dark tea like colour and had a sulfur smell about but the easement of pain was a good tradeoff to the smell. I also enjoyed a walk... More

This is a natural sinkhole which is well taken care of and used non-traditionally for free swimming. The water smells sulphur, a very well known in Europe component of some best mineral spas, also has a lot of other minerals, chemical analysis being available. Swimming in this water definitely has relaxing and calming effect, even the most sceptic members of... More

My husband and I had heard about this spring and we were visiting in the area so we decided to visit; glad we did! Seriously though, I don't know if we heard any English being spoken. Seems everyone was from Russia or thereabouts. I expected Trump and Putin to arrive at any moment. It added to the experience. People with... More

The water smells like sulphur however I am assured that it is good for you and very healthy. There are no snack bars there so you need to bring your own food. They will not allow you to bring in a cooler so you need to go back out and eat in the car. Bring your own chairs as the... More

It was alright. The water murky, didn't really even feel all that warm to me. Like I said , been there, done that, won't be back. At $20.00 a head, can think of better things to do.

Went here while on our vacation. It was pretty warm outside, but the water was cool. I have been to other mineral/hot springs and would say that the smell is definitely toned down here. There are plenty of chairs to choose from and enjoy your time out of the water. Life guards are present, and there are sections for kids... More

When we arrived at Warm Mineral Springs we felt as if we were in a time warp in the USSR, half expecting Gorbachev to come out of his dacha (It's rumored Mikhail visited during his heyday). With Russian and Ukrainian conversations around us, and guests walking around in their bathrobes and slippers, it certainly was an unusual setting. The water... More
