At a temperature of 87 degrees, Warm Mineral Springs contains 9 million gallons of fresh water which replenishes itself every two hours. This natural resource is comprised of 51 minerals, which is the highest mineral content of any natural spring in the United States. The spring has been added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places partly because it is one of the most important underwater archeological sites in America. During exploratory dives in the 1950s, the remains of a prehistoric hunter and seven other humans were discovered in a very well preserved state. Similarly, evidence of several creatures have been extracted from the spring, including saber tooth tigers, giant sloths, tortoises, and even camels. Today, with a goal of increased wellness for everyone, Warm Mineral Springs offers a natural experience to residents and visitors alike who want to soak in the warm waters.

The attraction is as it was when it opened, which is 1950's Americana I think it's quaint but it is lost in dirt and grime that doesn't need to be there, i.e. The caked on dust on the exhaust fan in the ladies change room. The buildings also appear to not be taken care of. Getting past all that the... More

The Springs are warm and supposedly hold healing waters. You can go for the day...exercises are held in the water a few times per day. Ponce de Leon supposedly was there a long time ago! I was not impressed....water was a bit murky...I like the Gulf much better!

Throughout my travels I have found that every town has a claim to fame. From the Corn Palace to the Giant Chair, small communities create identities around unique attractions. For this town, it is a large sinkhole that stays the same temperature of 87 degrees year round. Residents and visitors relax in the soothing water.

Very peaceful, lovely experience! Nothing fancy, but there is a store that sells drinks and ice cream. The water is very refreshing and buoyant - definitely recommend!!!

Bring a noodle. We forgot to bring ours and ended up treading water the entire time. My skin felt amazing after.

We recently went to the Mineral Springs. we had a very nice and relaxing time. Rain interfered but it would be a very nice place to be on a full sunny day. There are shower accomodations but you need your own toiletries and towels...also a noodle as the depth is 250 feet !

This place is amazing. Honestly, I was not expecting much, since I had read some horror reviews on it. It is totally to the contrary of all the horror reviews you might read. It is super clean. The mineral waters are constantly coming out of the earht, flushing into a river, so it is clean and it has not smell... More

We took a day trip to the Warm Mineral Springs to see what we thought was going to be a beautiful spring/sight to see compared to what we have seen when we lived in PA. It is much smaller in person than in pictures and very dated. It would appear this is Russian populated area for the 70 + population.... More

Over the last year, we have been making the rounds of many of Florida's natural springs. Most of them are state parks and some are country. This one was not in a natural setting. It is set up as a faded '60's kitsch property, operated by the self-important city of North Port. The property is in disrepair and they charge... More
