I enjoyed my excursion from Miami to Key West. I arrived for pickup at Bayside Marketplace. There will be one store that opens so you can purchase food and beverages before the three and a half hour drive. They have sandwiches, pastries, soda, water, coffee, snacks, etc. and are reasonably priced. I had a muffin and guava/cheese pastry (amazing) and I paid just under $5. The staff was nice and provided details on places we passed on the way. The bus was comfortable and the temperature on the bus was pleasant. You may want to bring a lightweight jacket if you tend to get cold. You can book tours on the bus (if you only books the transport initially). It is cash only and range about $40-$150, depending on what you select. My package included snorkeling. Arrival was about one hour before snorkel departure so you can walk around a bit. It is about a 15 minute walk from the arrival point to the dock for snorkeling. There are places at the dock to purchase food and beverages. The snorkeling was good (not great). Swim toward the metal tower in the water for the best views. There were great margaritas provided on the boat after snorkeling...along with wine, soda, etc. All unlimited. I had a great time! Highly recommend.
