Visited here on a weekend. Nice beaches and bike trails but tons of people! They also have kayak rentals.

Very close to Miami, it would be a pity to miss it. The park is very clean and there weren't too many people when I went ( peak of the season ) they rent bike and kayak or you could just go for a swim. I definitely recommend.

While visiting in the area, it was the only nearby place we could find to canoe. The outfitters are helpful and semi friendly. there is only 1 company to rent from - with life jackets the 1 1/2 hour canoe rental was $43. It was a decent Old Towne Discovery canoe - a bit beat up but sure better than... More

We walked around this park for an hour or so. They have a nice beach area and lots of picnic areas. I would like to return and spend a little more time.

This was my third visit to this state park since I relocated here to Miami in 2001. It's a decent state park but I've been to some which are much better because they offer many more activities for families to enjoy. I guess I just expected more since this state park is located in Miami. However, much hasn't change since... More

Oleta park has many wonderful mountain bike trials from novice to expert. You can also rent kayaks, bikes, and even has a small beach.

We rented kayaks and psent two hours on the water. This is a very large area from mangrove to water shared with bigger boats. We were lucky to see two doplhins jumpright in front of our kayaks and there were also many birds, pelicans, eagles. We had a short break on a white sand artifical beach where the water is... More

Wonderful sanctuary for kayakers and bikers. They rent both, plus stand up paddle boards. Plenty of bike trails. There's a nice fishing pier and a roped off swimming area. Plenty of picnic facilities and bathroom buildings. Nice stop to enjoy the day.

Great park to rent a kayak or boat and get some outdoor exercise. Sometimes it has an unpleasant smell in the area, and the water can be a little murky, so I would swim at the beach instead.

When my son suggested kayaking I was not at all sure I wanted to try but I am glad I did. We had 3 double kayaks which were easy to rent and as we had arrived fairly early we did not have to wait too long. The contrast between the mangrove channels and the open lake was great and there... More
