What I loved about this place is that we did not have to plan and we just showed up and got a kayak to rent. Unlike other places where we have to - have to Be on time and make reservations.

Excellent adventure! Kayaking through the intercoastal, watching the sunset and kayaking back in the dark. Great views of bal harbor and sunny isles. Staff took great care of us.

That huge kayak concession has got to go! It is ruining the experience of this great urban park on the bay. I am talking about the huge two story behemoth full of kayak rentals called BG Oleta River Outdoors. It is totally out of place here. I took my own canoe there hoping to have a nice relaxing day on... More

Nice day for a Kayak ride. There is a nice beach which the kids had fun playing in. Nice and quiet with hardly any people. Even stopped by a little island. On the way back, we went through a narrow waterway. Dirty water and dead fish - suggest staying on the large waterway and circle back.

Rent or bring your own kayak. Once you paddle out of the sea grapes, the bay opens up to reveal the buildings of Miami and Miami Beach. There is ocean access. Evening and sunset guided kayak tours are available. No restaurant inside but the Blue Marlin Fish House is a casual waterfront restaurant accessible with your kayak. Oleta is very... More

If you like kayaking Oleta River State Park is a perfect place for this activity. This park is beautiful and have kayaks and bikes for rent as well. It is also great for BBQ's and family gathering.

I have been trying to go to the State parks if I'm in the area. That is the case with Oleta River State Park. We drove around the park - took about 10 minutes and it was interesting to see all the high rise buildings on the horizon and this little piece of nature in the middle of Miami. Amazing... More
