St. Bernard land preserve has lots on the property to see and visit. it's so beautiful, it's a rare Spanish National Monument so much history from the beginning around the 1200's to the 1920s to its sale in the 60's and its current day condition.

This place has a nice history. The newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst bought it in Spain, brought it to the States, supposedly for his castle in California, but ended up in Miami, so we were very lucky to have it

A beautiful landscape and interesting history all in one. Bring your camera for scenic photo ops. We passed by the chapel where they were about to start service and the priestess was so welcoming that we joined in. And it's not even our religion!

We had a great time visiting and learning the history of this monastery. The gardens are nice too and there are some interesting antiques on display as well. Worth the trip!

I believe this is the oldest standing building in North America. The story of the Monastery is really interesting and the medieval architecture should not be missed.
