Captiva is an interesting place with a beautiful beach. Part residential and part tourist with some interesting eating places. Yes the bridge is a toll bridge but if you've made it to Fort Myers you really need to visit Captiva Island.

I just visited it recently and loved it! The water is very clear and its nicer water than the areas to the south of it. If you like clear water and shelling, this place is good for you!

The beach stretch’s for miles! Amazing white sand , warm water, and lots of seashells! Anytime during the day it’s a great time to visit.

Captiva Beach is at the end of Sanibel Island. Beautiful place, getting there might be difficult in high season so be early or be patient; it is worthwhile. Sandy Beach not very wide and not to crowded.

We've been here many times over the years. it's never crowded and so peaceful. Very little debris except after a bad storm. Will be returning very soon.

Took a beautiful walk on the beach, waded in the water, and picked up a couple of souvenir shells! The beach was clean and very inviting. Next time we’ll plan to spend a few hours more!

Easy to access, beautiful beach. There are many sea shells for those looking to search. There are restaurants near by and Joey’s offers a floating snack shack that pulls up to the beach to sell ice cream and more.

Highlight of my trip to Southwest FL. Walk around and take in how it was back in the 1950's and 60's. I'll plan to spend more time there on my next trip.

Captiva beach is beautiful, not crowded. Very calm feel. If you are looking for lots of activity, this isn’t the place for you. If you enjoy building a sand castle , collecting shells, going for a walk or sitting and reading a book this is...More

Great shelling, no high rises in the area around Tween Waters- and close to tons of restaurants. Surf was calm too.

Everything seems to be within walking or biking distance. We used the public access three different times and waited an average of ten minutes for a handicap parking place.
