Best beach in the area

Beautiful, worth the extra drive. Nice gradual change in water depth. Sand is fine. Beautiful sunsets. Just a wonderful beach.

It wasn't nearly as pretty as I was expecting from what I'd heard. The beach was all shells making it uncomfortable to go barefoot and the parking was outrageous at $4 an hour.

Pretty views and clean, few people in low season, and good water quality. Not much surf but you can see fish, sting rays, and other aquatic life. Good shelling, but the sand is crunchy from the shells, not fine and white like the Destin area.

Bring your sandshoes and enjoy this beach - it is absolutely breathtaking. When I come to visit family, we usually head north to Siesta Key but now that we have seen Captiva, odds are we are going to switch it up. The water was just as nice but we actually saw a dolphin and a manatee about 15 - 20... More

Arrived shortly before sunset. Easy parking but it was the off season. Beach far from empty as there were folks walking, on beach chairs for the amazing sunset, fishermen surf casting, etc. a decent summer thunderstorm had blown thru about 90 minutes earlier affording distant clouds to frame the amazing sunset - aglow in pinks and golds. Beautiful sand, expansive... More

This because is beautiful what I love most about it is it's clean. The cool breeze I felt laying there felt so good I can stay there the whole day. My boyfriend had to drag me out of there. It's family oriented, people were fishing when when it rained. Go enjoy you won't regret.
