We took a 4-hour trip with Captain John. Our boys, age 13,12 and 7, wanted to try fishing and see some dolphins and manatees. All their wishes were fulfilled! This is their first time trying fishing. John found a good spot and taught the boys how to fish, and made sure they all caught a few fish. The boys were... More

We booked a 4 hour tour with Captain Colin - there were 6 of us including 2 kids (ages 7 and 4). We had a great time, Colin was very accommodating to all of us, especially the kids. He got everyone setup for fishing, took us to a variety of spots, pointed out all of the wildlife, recommended places to... More

Our family of 5 had a great afternoon with Captain Colin. He took care of putting the bait on the poles, casting for anyone who wanted him to, carefully watching for bites and telling the kids when to reel-in (this was huge as we usually didn't see it ourselves), taking the fish off the hooks, and fileting the keepers. Everyone... More

Booked a four hour tour with Captain Colin last week and it was the highlight of our trip to Captiva. Colin is extremely knowledgeable and was excellent with our two young children (5 and 19 months). Colin took us up to Cabbage Key and then shelling on Cayo Costa where we had the beach to ourselves. He was quick to... More

Wow! Took a tour with Captain Colin Carpenter that far surpassed our expectations! We booked on very short notice and told Captain Colin that we wanted to see wildlife...especially birds and dolphins...and go shelling and boy did he deliver! We had Pelicans flying alongside our boat and then plopping down in the water right beside us as well as anhingas,... More

We arrived a little late, but Cap'n John was very accommodating and assured us we didn't have to worry. When we did arrive, Cap'n was ready to go with his first mate, Maya. We had a pretty long list of things we wanted to do, and I have to say that Cap'n John made sure we hit everything on that... More

Last day of hols and wanted kids to have something to remember trip by - had a great mornings fishing off bayside of Captiva . Captain John enthused kids involving them catching bait then quickly got them started fishing. All caught something either snapper, mackerel or trout. Captain John took us out spur of the moment when our other tour was a no show. We went to Cayo Costa state park through a tropical path and did some great shelling with John's help! The beach there is beautiful. On the way there and back we saw dolphin, eagles, osprey and lots of other wildlife. Great tour!! Would... More
