We have been coming to Captiva for over 15 yrs and have wanted to attend the crab races but it never worked out until this year! We had a great time, and 2 of our tables crabs actually placed in the final race!!! We ate at The Crows Nest before the race and our food and drinks were delicious. It's... More

How do you make something out of nothing? Crab races? Really? This was a very well organized crazy event. Hilariously funny at times. A group of adult strangers bonding over crab racing while drinking at the bar.

Worth checking out at least once while visiting Sanibel/Captiva. We have gone several times over the years and have always a good time. There are two shows, an early and a late every Tuesday and Thursday. The late show is for adults w “adult” humor. It is not necessary to eat dinner at the restaurant but most families do. Get... Wow, never saw a crab racing event before. It was very funny and entertaining. There are two shows, one a 6 pm for families and one at 9 pm for adults, and families should follow this rule, the 9pm show we attended was not for children!

I hate to say don't go because this event does raise a lot of money for charity. BUT maybe just give some money to the United Way Veterans fund and skip the crab races, especially if you have kids who care about animals. My 10 year old was horrified when the crabs were raked into the center of the table... More

Save yourself a chair around the table early...you will want one to really see the races. Very kitschy and fun...9:00 show is for adults and gives plenty of laughs. Met some fun people and had a great time!

This place is so fun. I never thought I would get so excited over watching hermit crabs race, but it was so much fun to watch. My entire family got into it.

Crazy routine of the Crab races. Same jokes each time but it is a fun evening. In addition this silly thing has raise a lot of money for charity.

Host was a jerk. He thought he was funny but very few enjoyed his humor. Drug out the crab races for two hours Because of his routine, you did not find out the admirable thing until the end -- that half the money went to charity for veterans. I would have put in more money in the beginning if I... More
