An OK day, ruined by uncontrolled dogs roaming free
Sep 2021 • Family
The farm was OK and kept the children entertained for a couple of hours. However, our experience was ruined by the onwers’ two dogs which are free to roam around the place. The dogs would not leave us alone as we tried to have a picnic, and my two year old is scared of dogs. I politely asked a member of staff if the dogs could be put away, but nothing was done.

I’m aware that one cannot visit a farm and then complain about the animals, but dogs are different from, say, sheep. My two year old spent the afternoon shaking because of this. Dog owners are blind to the fact that not everyone loves their vile creatures as much as they do.

That the staff didn’t care is the worst thing about this, but is typical of irresponsible dog owners everywhere.

Lovely day out
Aug 2021
Only live up the road and can,t believe have never been here before. Visited over the recent bank holiday as somewhere to go with my 2 year old grand daughter and friend.Booked online, plenty of parking, had a map given us in reception with time table etc, we all had a lovely time from the barn, petting session, tractor ride ,pedalos etc. Took a picnic and plenty of areas to eat , but what made the day even more enjoyable was the friendly helpful staff who obviously loved their job, they interacted with the visitors, gave information about the animals and were always smiling. Well worth the money ,and I see most of the animals in fields around where I live 🙂

An amazing day out !!
Sep 2021 • Friends
We absolutely loved this place. The lamb feeding and the animal handling was fantastic. The owner made sure everyone got a chance to feed the animals and was happy to answer questions and give lots of information. All the animals looked well cared for , were happy and loved all the attention from the children . Our 9 year old had never had the opportunity to have such close contact with so many animals at the same time and he had an amazing day .

Loved the nature trail , loved the tractor and trailer ride , lots of play equipment and excellent go karts!!

Very Covid safe and lots of hand washing facilities around

Lovely location , friendly staff and happy well cared for animals

Will definately return and thank you for an amazing day !!

Awful
Aug 2021 • Family
Awful husbandry of the animals ,
filthy and dirty cages / pens ... ,
the petting & lamb feeding expiernace and lamb feeding was not only a rush it was a horror show with dogs running around barking and biting baby goats that had escaped there enclosures, at the same time they plonked rabbits / ducks / chickens and dirty lambs in a area which was disgusting ...the place could be made beautiful ,
but looks like a quick rush to make money ..lots of hazards for young children, there was a dog with a matted fur and dirty rear end , a highland cow that needed a clip due to matted rear end ,

not good at all ... Somebody there needs to go to learn about animal husbandry and animal welfare .
We're not in the 80s anymore guys ...

Kids thoroughly enjoyed!
Aug 2021 • Family
We visited here with kids ranging from 1-8years and all enjoyed. The staff were brilliant, very helpful and chatty.
Animals looked happy and well cared for. Lots of things to do and whilst you pay extra for some things, we weren’t phased by this as we thought it was good value for money with entry price being cheap. Kids thoroughly enjoyed and didn’t want to leave!

Absolute must visit - Wonderful day!!!
Jul 2021 • Family
Wow, what a day. A large group of us went, we pre-booked due to COVID and what an incredible day we had, children’s ages range from 3 to 15 We started off with the lamb feeding and genuinely felt like we had already had value for money on our ticket price. The owners were so kind and made sure every child had a turn at feeding a lamb. There were goats, ducks, rabbits, chickens and even a ferret that the children could hold or get close to. The children were buzzing, as were the adults.

We then headed to the activity field. The swing boats, pedalos and sand pits looked great and then we realised there were also lots more things to do, racing slides, climbing frames, play houses for younger children, mini tractors to ride and crazy golf. The go karts were £3 per 2 person car but were absolutely brilliant value for money too.

We had lunch with us but got some chips and hot drinks from the cafe. We had to wait a little while for food but absolutely expected that being the summer holidays, a couple of customers were being quite rude to the waiting staff who were all working absolutely flat out to try and serve everybody. The children were all happily playing whilst we waited so it was absolutely not an issue at all. There is always an option to bring your own food and there are plenty of picnic benches and large grass spaces to eat it.

We finished the day with a tractor ride, again this is included in your ticket price and was such a fun way to finish our visit. The children loved it and our tractor driver told us all about the animals that they had reared.

I have read some other reviews about the place looking tired and not being good value for money. True if you want a shiny, brand new looking day out then this place isn’t for you and I’m not sure that the people who didn’t find it good value for money found everything that there is to do. If you are looking for a day that will make your little (and big) people smile all day long and fall asleep the second that you leave, then you must visit! The family who run it are absolutely wonderful and we honestly couldn’t have had a better day. We will absolutely be back and thought that the ticket prices were brilliant value for money.

Nice staff, over priced.
Jul 2021 • Family
For the price you pay you don't get much, and you have to pay for some other rides. There isn't much to to there. The staff are lovely I just think it is over priced for what you get.

Jul 2021 • Family
A lovely day out for all the family. Our 2 and 4 year old really loved it. The animals were so friendly and happy to be stroked and fed. The staff were all so friendly and obviously passionate about the animals they look after. Nice play area, lovely little lake to take pedalo’s around and we loved the tractor ride. Thank you for a fab day.

Great place to visit.
Jun 2021 • Couples
This is a great place to visit whether you have children or just a young couple wanting to spend a few hours with some animals. Me and my partner visit this farm every year, it's a family run farm and the others and staff are always so approachable and informative, it's great to see them with the animals and you clearly see they have a great care for them. They are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the animals.

We always go for the lambs and the animal petting, it's such a great place to go to get hands on. The many times we've been we have been able to encounter all sorts of animals, our personal favourite are the baby lambs and baby goats.

We're more than happy to pay the entrance fee if it helps keep this place alive and running.
