This is a great place to spend a playful afternoon splashing around in the sea with our four legged friends. Not sure who had more fun, them or us but we will definitely be back again soon!

My family visited Smyrna Dunes for the first time last week, and we plan to go back frequently. What a great outing! We enjoyed a pleasant walk along the boardwalk, spotted lots of plant life and insects, and even discovered a gopher tortoise. We enjoyed...More

This place is really cool and the food is amazing. I would recommend checking out the Blue Bar area. The Oscar and Rib Eye are amazing and the bread is incredible. The Service is usually pretty good although sometimes it can just be alright.

We decided to visit New Smyrna Beach to do some surfing. This park was recommended as a place to park. From there there is a bit of a walk, but it is beautiful. Once down on the beach, we discovered that others drove down there...More

Smyrna Dunes is unique in that it encompasses the uniqueness of Florida's coastline. There is the river side, the inlet side and the ocean side; all different from each other. The walkways are well kept up and offer a great area for treks. You can...More

Great place to see gopher turtles on warm days. We came off the beach and walked bikes on the ramp....checked and were told you cannot ride them which makes sense as walkway is not wide. Seems to be some confusion if you can walk your...More

The day we went is was cool, 60's, and windy. The effects of hurricane Mathew were showing on some of the covered rest areas. Most of these had grills for cookouts. You can obtain a map showing their locations. You can observe local wildlife and...More

Love, love, love walking on this beach. Private, quiet and beautiful! Although the certification I need to check says this is a hotel (?). Which it is not. Very quiet. Great family location.

A short walk to the intra coastal where the dogs can get into the water. Look out for sand spurs when walking from mthe wood walkway.

We had so much fun! No dogs allowed on boardwalk after 10am but tons of sandy, walking room to go to different beach openings. There's a dog wash station, multiple dog water stands, and a beach toy bin for the kiddos. Bella loved it! Must...More

Don't think you can use it. But, after 5 p.m. the park is free. If you are staying for more than 2 days and want to go with the dogs during the day. Buy the pass. You can go in and out of the park as many times during the... More

Unfortunately, the boardwalk is not continuous. There is a short stretch between the doggie beach boardwalk and the boardwalk from the parking lot that crosses the sandy foot path. A distance, I'd guess, of 25-30 feet.
