The center itself is not much to see, but it is the place you must register for their boat trips. We found the trip to be very worth while. They really tried to make sure we saw all the wild life that there was in the area including many, many dolphins. It was not just a "sightseeing" trip, but a very... More

I really enjoyed visiting the Marine Discovery Center.. It is small. The staff is friendly and open to questions. It was a fun interesting outing. Takes only a few minutes

I went on the 2 hour guided kayak tour that leaves at 10 am. Very relaxing and enjoyable. I was the only one signed up for that timeslot, so I got a private tour. The gentlemen that was the guide was great. Very knowledgeable about the local plant, bird, and sea life. This was only my second time in a... More

Marine Discovery Center, especially our guide Lisa, gave us a delightful 2 hour cruise in time to see the full moon rise just as we reached the mouth of the estuary. The captain anchored the boat for about a half hour so we could enjoy all the sites by moonlight - Ponce lighthouse was lighted and the dolphin were out... More

We liked the Center itself. 6 of us paid $25/each to go on their Dolphin Discovery Tour. Captain left the dock at 1:25pm and by 1:29pm had us STUCK on the Sandbar in front of Pelican Island, stinking up a storm. After sending us fore and aft for about 1/2 hour, finally a passenger suggested we all get on the... More

This is a "must do" when you visit New Smyrna Beach. Warren took us on a wonderful paddle around the local mangrove swamps and educated us about the history and ecology of the area. It was a comfortable pace that accommodated everyone in our small group. We saw lots of shore birds, a horse conch, an eagle and an alligator... More

So many things to do! You can go on a boat tour of new Smyrna beach. They are very in depth and informative. I have lived here for 20+ years and they definitely taught me a lot. You can also hang out at the discovery center and see turtles that are being healed to be released stingrays and all sorts... More

My grandson and I stumbled across this and enjoyed it. They are in process of adding a lot of neat things, play area and more. Right now they have a small facility, but really neat to learn from. They have a couple of sharks, some fish, snails, and crabs. We came back the next day and did the boat ride.... More

First time here. We did a kayak run in the Indian River lagoon. Charity was our guide and she was awesome. We went on a night the moon was the brightest. It was super chill to kayak through the lagoon and watch the moon rise!

Thank Tom S
