We had an impending storm coming so we just rode around the inlet looking at the birds. Apparently the dolphins knew the storm was coming and we only saw 4 in 2 hours. We did see several manatee and birds. The mangroves were terribly boring after the first 30 minutes. They cannot control the animals we understand. If you have... More

This is an interesting place to visit. They some times offer pontoon boat tours as well but a little pricey if taking the whole family. But very interesting intercostal tour with lots of wildlife.

Inside the building was fun to see the aquariums of marine life. Ladies at the desk very friendly. Outside was a self walking tour. Watch your feet. Little spikes stickers grab you from all over. No mowed path, no shade. Did a quick walk since it was so hot. Didn't see any wildlife.

We return here from time to time as they are always adding new things. The boat tour must be reserved in advance. Next time we will. They have done great things with shoreline restoration. Their new butterfly garden is gorgeous. We loved looking at the exhibits and watching them feed the animals.

Have gone out in their kayak tours twice. The narrator is well educated and extremely knowledgeable about the area. She answered any questions that we all had and told us do many interesting facts. Tour goes at your own pace but we had no trouble keeping up with her. I have dropped by the center with my 4 year old... More

Be sure to go on a fair day to enjoy the sunshine and the water with all the local habitat. Plenty to see and enjoy. Dolphins and turtles and fish abound with lots of birds. A very enjoyable relaxing time.

Took the dolphin boat tour; saw lots of birds, many dolphins and one manatee. Guide was excellent and knew her stuff. Only problem was the crying baby on board - MDC really should have a minimum age for this 2-hour trip out on the river on a hot, hot day.

We took the boat trip which was educational and very enjoyable. The Captain will go where there is something of interest - we followed dolphins and went in search of a manatee that had been sighted in the canal. Excellent value for money!

This was an inexpensive and informative adventure. Our kids loved it. The center is well designed and very neat. The touch tanks were cool, and we learned alot. They have a large variety of animals for a not very large center. We actually got to see them fixing a tortis's shell. The center was cool.

Our family (kids ages 6 and 2) took the Dolphin Discovery Boat Tour and had a great time! Our guide was very knowledgeable and interactive as our Captain provided us with a smooth ride and great vantage points. The 2 hour tour was quite educational and relaxing with the covered pontoon and cool breeze. While we didn't get to see... More
