Unexpected Delight
I really like this place. If we return to the area would definitely spend more time here. It is a nice art gallery with artists working their crafts as you walk through. I actually did a oil paint knife class and it was a lot of fun and learned some techniques. I am not the artsiest person but the picture turned out good. We also enjoyed music on Thursday night when they have an open night where people can bring instruments and play and sing. Very enjoyable and fun night. The Hub has different activities throughout the month so check them out if in the area.

A MUST in NSB!
What a lovely spot. If you have an appreciation of art, then this is a MUST in NSB. Lot's of mediums, artists working on-site, very friendly and really worth an hour or so or meandering... and who knows, something may call to you- enjoy.

Took an art class in this wonderful art center and enjoyed the beautiful art to look at. Much of it is also for purchase. Such a great center for such a small town. New Smyrna is a wonderful place to get your art on!

Watercolor class

A nice venue with lots of beautiful artwork by local artists. However, we signed up online to take a watercolor class (6 of us). When we arrived, the instructor had no idea we were coming so was totally unprepared for the class being double in size. After quite a bit of juggling, we were given workspace. Although the instructor was nice, the class was not a class really at all, as there was no instruction given to us as to what to do or techniques or tips. It was quite disappointing overall, as we had paid $90/person to learn. Take a snack if you are taking a class there as no food for purchase on site.

The Hub on Canal is worth your visit !

The Hub on Canal is enjoying the 7th year of operation on Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach. The Hub is a real asset to the Arts District. The Hub has beeen a key to the resurgence of downtown New Smyrna Beach. The artistic talent is amazing and diverse. The Gallery Walk each 1st Saturday and Music Night on the 2nd Friday are worth your time. Other events occur throught the year. It is worth your time to get on the e-mail listing.

Worth a walk through

Very welcoming staff who explained what the Hub was about and encouraged us to go into anywhere the door was open. There was some really interesting art throughout and although we didn't purchase anything we had the opportunity to speak with a few working artists.

This is a wonderful gallery. So much outstanding art is taking place in NSB. Reminds me of Rockport MA or Carmel CA, but with a down to earth vibe.

Very interesting Art Gallery in that you can actually see some of the artists working at their craft or art piece. Has special events such as poetry reading and music and the chalk art competition which is very fun

Be sure to stop here ! Awesome place, employees and artists. Small but full. The artists displayed showed off their varied talents and some were there working, so you could watch them. An extremely interesting guitar display right now, hand made with found wood...you won't believe it !

Very talented people in individual rooms. Watch them paint, carve or play the ukulele. Great place to spend a few hours. You can ask questions
and listen to them explain what they do.
