Very nice family orientated park.

The trails are well marked. Nice play areas for the young at heart. Rest rooms and pavilions well kept up.

I love to hike and bike ride. And in all honesty Florida is at the bottom of the list for great places to do that. But Starkey Wilderness Park is truly one of the few in this entire state that I love. The bike/hikings are very well maintained. There is about 13 miles of paved trail and around 25 miles... More

It has the best bike trail that goes on for miles through Florida wilderness. Trail is marked in 1/2 mile increments, rest stops and water along the way. Hiking trails are well marked and so peaceful. Great place to enjoy nature!

We ride the dirt trails mostly. There is always some kind of wildlife to see out there. Deer, gophers, hogs, turkeys, snakes, etc. Good exercise and even better since the new trail was put in. It gets hot on the paved trail also, there isn't much shade. Bring plenty of water and maybe a snack too. Dogs are supposed to... More

I will be honest, I have been going to the park since I was 16. I'm 44 next month. They have made questionable choices in those years. I used to run on canopied trails. Now I run on barren sandy trails. It has some beautiful spots. I'm still out there 4 times a week. There are cabins towards the entrance.... More

Overall I would say that this is a nice park. There are rustic campsites and cabins available for rent. They do have a bathroom / our building. There are Trails throughout the park. Some of the trails are concrete some are just hurt. There are also some historical sites in the park which are labeled.
