Jacksonville Surf and Paddle is North Florida's premier Surf and Stand Up Paddleboard school, Surf Camp, and Beach Rental provider. We offer a wide variety of surf, stand up paddleboard (SUP), and fitness classes specifically designed to meet your individual needs. Situated 2 miles north of Jacksonville Beach in Neptune Beach FL., we are blessed with warm temperatures year round. With easy access to both the beach for surf lessons and the Intracoastal Waterway for SUP, your next lesson is just minutes away. "Any age and any stage" as we like to say! No one is ever too young or too old to benefit from board sports. Highly recommend the solo surf lessons. My son has enjoyed them thoroughly and it has deepened his love of the beach, respect for the waves and sparked a new sport--surfing 🌊
If you are from out of town and looking to hit some waves safely, book your lesson with them! Piper, Dan and all of the other instructors are so skilled, patient and positive.
Jax surf and paddle emotes positive vibes from the Bodega, to the shop to the lessons. I cannot recommend this place enough! Great selection of jewelry, delicious drinks, outstanding Instructors, camps and lessons

I bought surf lessons for my two teenage daughters who were somewhat self-conscious to learn a new sport. Avery was their instructor and she did an amazing job with them. They were completely comfortable with her and she taught them so much in 90 minutes! They were catching waves and surfing by the end - with big smiles on their faces. I highly recommend Avery at Jax Surf and Paddle!

Our 8 year old grandson had his first surf lesson and loved it! Thank you Hector. We did the public surf lesson and even though he was the youngest he was up and surfing in no time. We had a great experience. Highly recommend.

An absolutely perfect experience. My husband and I paddle boarded among dolphins in clear water with an instructor who has that rare combination of expertise and tranquility. Jerian masterfully taught us how to get through the waves, modeling calm—knowing when to intervene with tips and when to let us experiment.
The 9:00 lesson was so accessible. Parked a block away from the ocean in front of Jax Surf and Paddle, met Jerian (who arrived right on time, 15 minutes before the lesson, having already checked the surf report), and were paddling in the water shortly thereafter.
We will be back with our daughters next time, hopeful that Jerian will be our instructor.

My son had a great time! Cassidy his instructor was great with him, so patient and my son had no surfing experience. He did actually stand up on the board during his lesson. They actually were able to squeeze is in on very short notice. Thank u so much!!

My daughter and I had a fun time during our surf lesson with Jacksonville Surf and Paddle. Andy and Tanner are very knowledgeable and did a great job giving instructing both on land and in the water. They were very positive and encouraging throughout the session. If you are looking for a surf lesson in the Jacksonville area I highly recommend Jax Surf & Paddle

Amelia was awesome with both of my daughters who are 11 and 12. My 12 year old has Down Syndrome (she's my adventurous one!) and Amelia worked with her and made sure to give her visual cues and not just verbal cues. My 11 year old loved the lesson and as a result we signed her up for a full week camp the week after this private lesson.

Walker was great. My 12 year old son had been at a surf camp all week and wanted to brush up on some things he learned at camp so we booked him a private lesson Sat morning. He picked up some great new skills and was really riding the waves despite the tough currents. Will definitely return on future trips.

Our seven-year old son had his first surf lesson yesterday. In spite of cold 55 degree temperatures, Cassidy the instructor not only managed to keep him interested but he got to his feet several times. She not only knew her craft but has an exceptional knack with kids. Our best compliment is that we went back today to schedule another with the same instructor.

I'm from Toronto Canada and have always wanted to begin the journey of learning to surf. I had a week off in February and decided to take the plunge (literally) and find a surf school on the east coast of florida.
I started with researching reviews of pretty much every surf school along the east coast and from there sent about dozen emails to different surf schools. Jax Surf from my first email to my last day gave nothing but incredibly authentic, sincere, efficent and friendly service.
From all the schools i contacted they were the ones that made me feel the most at ease on this nervous solo adventure.
I had 7 private surf lessons every morning throughout the week and every single one in itself was a milestone memory of surfing. Even off the board and in their store and headquarters the staff was so friendly and helpful, I made afternoon visits to the store as I toured the amazing area of Neptune Beach just to say hi and chat about my incredible morning lesson.
Again from their first email to my last surf lesson, everyone at Jax showed a genuine passion for wanting to share the life changing experience of surfing.
