My family of 6 (2 adults 4 kids--3 teens and one 11 year old) had a fabulous time. Dave has a great knowledge of the wildlife and the area. He was a fabulous guide! My kids loved searching for the blue crabs, looking at the different birds, and learning about the different kinds of sea life around the Santa Rosa Sound and the Gulf. He provided a perfect snack and we watched the sun through the clouds as it set on the sound. Dave is a gem and we loved visiting with him! When we asked them one of their favorite things about our trip to Navarre, they all agreed that kayaking with Dave was their favorite activity!

My family had a wonderful time on the sunset tour with Dave. We really appreciated his knowledge of the wildlife and how we really felt like we were exploring. He even made accommodations for my 88 year old grandmother so she could come too.

Myself and two friends went on a Sunset Eco-Tour with Dave and had an excellent experience. None of us had kayaked or canoed before, but it was really easy to get into under Dave's watchful eye. The experience wasn't too strenuous and the distance (one mile out and one mile back with shore breaks along the way) was just right. Dave's knowledge of the local wildlife was a real bonus and the trip was perfectly timed so the sun was just going down as we came back to the start point. Recommended to anyone.

This was a wonderful experience for all of us. Very mellow tour with a great tour guide! Beautiful beaches, lots of wild life... we stopped and swam and had a little snack; all while learning about this precious and beautiful enviroment. Truly a national treasure that enchanted us all. I recommend this excursion if you want to see this area from an eco perspective.

The kayak tour was a highlight of our recent trip to Navarre Beach. Two of our party had never kayaked. Dave worked with us and we were comfortable in the kayaks in no time. We also learned a lot about the history and ecology of the area. Would highly recommend a tour.

Thanks for reviewing your recent Sunset Kayak Eco-tour
I am always happy to have first time paddlers on our tours.
Kayaking is so easy and I love to see how quickly they are comforable in their kayak.
I'm glad everyone enjoyed our tour, I did too.
Let's do it again next year.

The sunset eco-tour was absolutely fabulous. We took eight teenage girls with some to none prior kayak experience. All loved it. Dave is very knowledgeable about the Navarre eco-system and has a true passion for sharing it. Kayaking into the sunset is just breath taking.

We had an awesome time kayaking in the Santa Rosa Sound with Dave leading us along sharing his knowledge of local ecology. The break to wander/explore a bit and have the provided tasty snacks and some water before heading back and enjoying the sunset along the way. We would definitively recommend this experience to anyone! We didn’t have our cameras with and Dave so kindly took pictures for us!

Our family of four had a great day on the water. Dave and his assistant helped us feel comfortable in the kayaks. The kids really enjoyed seeing the Dolphins and collecting shells.

My family of four really enjoyed the sunset tour on the sound. I sent an email requesting information a few weeks prior to our trip and then scheduled our time for the tour a few days before. Dave was very helpful and we all commented that it was the best part of our trip.

could a three year old safely go on this tour? Or should we leave them at home?
Written March 14, 2015
I would have to say it depends on the 3 year old. I started taking my son paddling at that age, but every child is different. If you will call us, I will speak to you personally about your child. Thanks for the inquiry.
