I live in the area and came here for the first time back in the Fall of 2020. Needless to say I was very impressed. The facility is small but packed with information and a very informative staff that you can tell has a passion for what they do. The work they do here is extremely beneficial to the wildlife in our area. Whether you are a local or vacationing here, I highly recommend visiting here and supporting the great work this facility does. It's fun, educational and if you have kids they will absolutely love it.

It started to rain so we had to find something indoors to do. This was a good choice, we gave our phone number and waited in the car because they can only have so many people in at a time. We met sweet pea the injured sea turtle. Learned some sea turtle facts, explored the exhibits, and bought some cute turtle stuff from the gift shop. Definitely something you should do while in Navarre!

We fell in love with Sweet Pea (turlte), Safari, and Flip Flop (tortoises) and my son also loved the terrapin, which inspired him to learn more on his own. My boys are 11 & 13 and did the free "scavenger hunt" quiz and learned so much. The volunteers there have a passion and are so knowledgeable.
The gift shop items are priced reasonably and some items are significantly cheaper than items in local shops, plus this goes to support such a great mission.
My boys walked almost every day to see Safari and Flip Flop, who are outdoors and there's no cost for admission to see them. They were so impressed with Sea Pea that they begged my husband to go meet her (he was working the day we originally went).
We went right at noon, and no other guests were there. They are strict about distancing and masks, which we greatly appreciated.
We now like them on Facebook and plan to buy things off of the Amazon wishlist for them from time to time.
Thank you for all you do and teaching us to love and be fascinated by sea turtles!

Enrolled 9 of my grandchildren from a12 - 4 year-old in Shark School while they were in town. I was their adult supervisor & we all learned a lot. Lots of interesting information & a fun activity at the end to find shark teeth. Would recommend for children over 6…the 4 & 5 year olds got a bit antsy during the long presentation but loved sifting through the sand for the teeth! The conservator was clean & well arranged. The good bags were honestly just things the kids would throw away. I did laminate the sea shell ID paper so the children could keep that & learn to identify the shells they were finding on the Navarre Beach.

This is a small, seemingly fledgling, sea turtle center. The 'tour' is mostly self guided and there is only one turtle in residence. Nothing like some of the other conservatories but there is big potential. As a long time turtle advocate we hope they keep up the good work growing and educating.

Our family enjoyed our visit here. The volunteers were great and knowledgeable. We had quite a few questions for them about the animals that they were happy to answer. There’s a cute gift shop inside. One of our children wanted to ‘dig’ for shark teeth (you buy a jar of sand and sift through it outside. All together, it probably took 30-45 minutes to get through everything, but we really took our time looking through all the the exhibits and digging for the shark teeth.

This is a small place and doesn't take much time to go through but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My 1 year old especially loved watching Sweet Pea swimming. She tried to climb the fence to get in with her haha! But it's quite informative and they are really doing a great service. I hope more people continue to go to educate about how cool sea turtles are and how important conservation is.

There is a lot of love and education packed into the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center. It is run by an all volunteer staff that is passionate about what they do. They have wonderful exhibits and a thoughtful selection of gift items including items made by local craftsman and photographers. Grants, admission and gift shop sales provide funding.

There is plenty to do right in the area to round out the afternoon. Pier for walking and fishing, restaurants, beach access and public bathrooms nearby.

We took our 9 year old son to shark school. It was very informative. The biologist leading the class had great personality, seemed knowledgeable, and was great with the kids. I recommend this class for kids 10 & under for a fun morning activity.

We visited with all 5 kids 21 to 11, and they enjoyed very much, and we did the scavenger hunt in pairs with their dad. Loved the interaction only downside it said in a review they would get a shark tooth if completed but instead got a rubber band bracelet. Which was a little disappointing, but we still very much enjoyed sweet pea and what we learned. Enjoyed the videos of the hatching and hatchling.
