Time well spent!

Captain Geoff showed me (an avid fresh water fishmernan) and my wife (begginer) a great time fishing the mangroves for a variety of species. The action was constant and the time flew by, in a good way. We caught 6 different species of fish, my wife, happily, was able to catch several fish as well and had a blast! I had bites on nearly ever cast made and caught too many fish to count. It was great way to spend a beautiful Naples morning on the water - would recommend to anyone thinking about it. Will be coming back at different times of the year to try to catch other species that weren't caught today and are more active then.

Great day with a great guide!

My friends and I did a six hour inshore trip with Geoff yesterday. All I can say is WOW! We landed close to 60 mostly Snook throughout the day. While that is incredible, there a few other things the separated Geoff from other guides I have used. As an avid fisherman I’m a constant student of the craft and Geoff truly knows his stuff. I was able to learn a lot from Geoff from the way he reads the tides, use of electronics, even his technique of getting hooks out of the trees. Geoff consistently checked our leader and re-tied our hooks constantly to reduce the times the hook would break off- this was noticeably different and more pro-active then any other guide. I also loved that he had bait BEFORE we went out and allowed us to fish to the end of our paid time and our drive back was AFTER our paid time.These things really stood out to me and will certainly make Geoff the only guide I will use on the West Coast.

Great Experience Fishing with Captain Geoff

Everyone had an amazing time fishing with Captain Geoff. Each spot that he took us produced snook, red fish, large jacks, and mangrove snapper. As soon as the action at a spot calmed down he took us to a new spot that produced fish. Captain Geoff was extremely helpful with fishing tips to make sure that everyone on the boat would be prepared to catch as many fish as possible. I hope in the future that I will be able to book another fishing trip with Captain Geoff.

I think captain Geoff is a super nice guy, is knowledgeable and experienced. However, I fished as a female alone and I felt as though he did not take me serious. He took to me to an area where all the fish were small, and I explained to him that I wasn’t there to fish for small game. I think he thought it would be an easy day with just a female on the boat who maybe didn’t know what she was doing. I’ve fished my entire life and I understand the art of fishing, and do very well. He clock watched me the entire time, after spending an hour looking for bait. I did feel he took advantage of me, and if I had been a man this would not of happened. I was also not impressed with his gear, we had two big fish missed for broken lines. This to me, should not of happened. I don’t take away from his knowledge, however after spending an hour looking for bait, I only fished a couple of hours and it was expensive for a couple of hours of fishing. Won’t use him again, and would not recommend him to anyone that treats women like they bad stupid.

Amazing day of fishing

Captain Geoff really knows these waters. This is my 3rd trip with him and every time I go he we catch a ton of fish and he seems to always find a way to get my first of something. This trip was a juvenile Goliath Grouper

A Day on the Water

Beauttiful day on the water! I was blessed to learn to fish the intracoastal waterway with two of my men, and captain Coy.
Coy was very patient as he taught me how to cast. I have a lot of work still ahead of me, but as he said, "Practice makes perfect!"

We caught Snook, Spotted Trout, Catfish, Mangrove Snapper, and my son hooked up with a Goliath Grouper, he put up a good fight! These fish are smart! When we return to Naples we are going to "hook" up with Chasin' Tales Backward Water Fishing Charters again!

Incredible Snook fishing

Nice boat, loads of freshly caught bait, a great captain, junior captain and me.Kudos to them for dealing with a hardcore rookie. We pounded fish, perhaps 30 snook, including a 20 pound plus one. We released them all and had just a great day.
I’m looking to many more trips with them.

Excellent Trip

We went out for a 4hr inshore fishing trip (group of 2). We have an amazing time. We were able to catch a bunch of red snapper, which we were able to eat later. The boat was great and perfect for fishing. The Captain did an amazing job and really made sure to take us to spots that would insure we would catch fish. You could tell the Captain really enjoyed fishing and knew his way around the area. I would highly recommend.

The best guide in Naples

I’m an experienced angler of both fresh and salt. I booked Capt Geoff for a 4hr trip with my 10yr old son today. I could not recommend him enough if you are lucky enough to get him. Not only is he patient and kind, he is a wealth of local and fishing knowledge. As the day went on he worked very hard to get us on fish. He came to the dock preparred with a live well full of freshly caught bait (Pilchards) which he went out and netted himself. We caught 8 snook, 8 Jacks (one was a huge 12lb Jack). And finally we hooked a 4 foot tarpon that gave us the thrill only a surprise tarpon can do. Geoff knew the water, knew the tides and knew what was around. When you get him talking he is a wealth of fishing IQ. I will most definitely book Capt Geoff again. Great money spent!!!

Excellent experience, Captain Tom super knowledgeable. Was super patient with us. Put a lot of effort in making our experience worthy. He moved around the area to make sure we caught fish. I would recomend this charter to anyone.
